What a shame. There appears to be a thread about benefit cuts deleted. Inevitable it would turn into a slagfest, but thats my nightly read, gone.Debt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?

I'm sorry, i barely have the energy to reply to you all individually I've had a look and there is an advocacy service reasonably locally, although i'm now more conscious of transport costs. May call in when i go to the council with letter, but i have to be careful treading on other people's toe's as it were. At one point, i think it's been decided, there are too many cooks, if you know what i mean. I'm supposed to have someone sorting the benefits situation, ( i say supposed,) although i could do now use some help with the essentials of property repairs and improvements. Can you believe the ha told me to store my washing machine in the living room, the other week? I already have a large box of pots and pans in there, as they won't fit in the kitchen, ( not that i can use them, anyway.) So i should use my living room as a kitchen too? A bedsit. After a period of time, all the little things start getting on top of you.
Aside from the effin money situation, that is. Slept very badly again last night. Woke up at 3 and 5 am. Urgh. Do i just feel sorry for myself. I just feel everything is useless. I'm useless. Oh to sleep...
I think i was supposed to be going for another taster today, but i've decided against it all. a) i don't have the energy, b} i won't have the transport soon, c) i can't afford lets face it, anything, not even 75p a week. d) i need to make sure evrything is in as much order as is humanly possible for the dro.
Yes, i must spend the day sorting stuff for the dro. Elation? No. Resignation. I'm still worried about all the council tax arrears which should have been covered by ctb. Humph, that one pepper plant is growing. One. It's suddenly become a busy week. It's hard work being ill. God, am i ill? Maybe i've become so used to living like this now? Desensitised. Stressed beyond belief. I don't know i'm just not sure i can bothered anymore. How many times have i said that. But the reality now is you can't survive with no income. I have £5 a week for everything. Food, transport costs, ( it costs almost £5 to get out of this god forsaken place,) and everything and anything i may need / require, not want. You know you look around these boards and many complain about being in debt, having no money, yet they are going on holiday? having mini breaks? flying here and there? buying this and that? doing this and that? They truly don't realise what debt and poverty are, otherwise they wouldn't be able to do any of these things. There is no money, when there is no money to live, no money to save, whatever.
The charity said to me the other day, you can't give up now, otherwise it's all been for nothing. It's not a crusade. This is someone's life we are talking about.
Maybe i should look at that card on the mantelpiece. Maybe i should take that card off the mantelpiece.Debt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?

You cant give up now there right. It will get sorted. I remember when I first started using here and I had less than £10 a month to feed/kep baby formula/nappies going. Its far from easy I went without food to make sure the kids did ok., but it will get better. Its good you have someone helping to sort the benefits out you wll get there in the end. Dont give up!!0 -
The giving up option is very tempting right now.
Just come on because this is now the easiest place to find my incomings and outgoings. Everything else is sorted for the dro, ( i think,) other than i'm still not completely convinced about my ct arrears. There are so many letters re ct. The rent arrears will still remain. I'm also unsure of the position re pawned items and dro's. Most i am now resigned to forfeiting, although there are still items like my mums wedding and engagement ring. Should i let go, if possible?
So many people to speak to tomorrow. I'm still of the mind to tell them just to * the rent and ct, tomorrow. Just go ahead and evict me. If you don't have the income, you don't have the income. They are still unwilling to listen. I'm just tearing myself apart with it all.
Been in the garden for the first time in almost a week. Everything has shot up and now needs replanting. Slimey critter is still eating lemon balm and everything down that side of the garden. I also have some lettuce seeds to sow. I cannot be bothered
Snotty person in * , super snotty this morning. I wonder if they have a heart? of if they are all *. I wonder what people would say if they knew. Nowt, probably.
God, its really bad today.Debt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?

Sundays always seem to be the worst - everything shut so you just have it all hanging over you. Perhaps the coming week will bring the increase you're due?
Advocacy might be an idea: perhaps they could take over one aspect on your behalf?
MP may be useless, or it may be one person's view, so that might just be worth a try...
DSW is heavy work, no wonder you were tired out. You might be low on protein, so muscles won't be so good, and you would be using muscles in a way they aren't used to - one of these things that gets easier with experience. I owe you a pm, sorry - I haven't forgotten. Hoping for some time tonight.
As you still have a job in theory, I take it you can't officially resign, as that would make you responsible for not having the income from it and therefore excluded from some benefits? I'm guessing there. However, it's that 'employed' status that's standing in your way from what I understand. I wonder if there's a way they could confirm that they are not your employer but employ on an as-required basis? I expect you've been down that route already. Or could your doctor either give you a longer term sick note or in some way permanently sign you off? Maybe in terms of you will not be sufficiently recovered to work in the next... however long?
Sorry, thinking aloud here. Feel free to ignore.
You can use salt or beer to get rid of slugs - not nice, recommend exporting them to snotty person's garden instead.Miggy
