Another avenue to ponder Ani is seeking legal aid to force the benefits people to sort something out.
http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/governmentcitizensandrights/gettinglegaladvice/DG_195314
If you look further down one of the reasons you can get legal aid is if you have problems with welfare benefits.
When you are next in going to be in town then prebook yourself a free levgal interview with a lawyer. You get half an hour which is long enough to see if they can help and then if need be you can take it further using legal aid.

You can use salt or beer to get rid of slugs - not nice, recommend exporting them to snotty person's garden instead.
I've already tried salt. Seems to no effect. My neighbour said i'll destroy the soil putting salt on. Too late now. I don't care about the garden, anyway. More things fallen to bits inside, today. It's just so depressing when you can't fix them, and can't afford to pay anyone to fix them. Every small thing is getting to me this weekend.Debt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?

Ani I have slimy critters munching their way through my garden too, so annoying. I'm looking for some way to control them as well without having to resort to slug pellets as knowing my cat the daft minx would eat them.
Sorry to hear today isn't such a good day, i imagine its hard to deal with everything esp on a sunday when nothing is going to progress. xx Seems beanie's advice is good though, or at least worth exploring (she's a wise old owl is our beanielou x)
my garden looking a bit of a state too thanks to all that wind last week, should've mowed the lawn today before it rained again but couldn't be bothered - then saw the most massive ants next in the grass as well (looks more like a s*dding mole hill ) don't fancy the repercussions had a mowed over that - gives me the heebies just thinking about it - still like an all you can eat buffet for the birds :rotfl:
How's the sc or have you not really been into that today? xFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

just reading up, apparently Ducks love to eat slugs and are very effective at pest control - should've cornered a few last weekend in my garden then eh?Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Hmmm there may be a flaw in that plan though Kerry as I reckon ducks would eat the plants too ...LOL
My slugs seem to just want to get in my house:eek::eek: every time I open the back door I am confronted by several all attempting to trespass into my kitchen!! Anyway enough of the slug discussions...yucky little things..
Sorry I`ve not been around much this week Ani as my mum is still in hospital ( daily visiting duty plus work is just so tiring!) . Last night I went to see Elton at the local FC ...I really enjoyed it especially as it was a last minute ticket and made such a change to go out on a saturday evening actually.
Lets hope this week brings some better news for you. I do think its worth contacting your MP as I think he has supported social inclusion and some benefits cases...if nothing else it will give you something to throw back at the council if they talk about eviction again.
Well done on getting out to the dsw lesson..sounds like hard work though...take it easy .

Had a look at his website. It's a mish mash. However, i've found another website with surgery dates, and guess what? He's right here, this week. Golden opportunity, ( if i survive that long.)
They are there to help their constituents and my opinion is that they have a duty of care to highlight any cases where the benefits bureaucracy willfully allows anyone to live below the povery line. So please go along and speak to them...nothing ventured and all that.
I know that you enjoy political debate and this is your chance to at least make them aware of the real world.
Wish I wasn`t at work or I`d come along too.
