*sneaks in stage left wearing heavy medieval styleeee hooded cloak for fear of being recognised on this thread and shunned by the MSE community* ;) just kidding Ani, I have no reason not to want to post on your thread and the lovely folks I talk to reguarly on this forum wouldn't have anything negative to say about me choosing to post or not - whether or not they are comfortable with your diary..to the others :p

Now what did I come on here for? Oh yes, arm is holding up - stupid red mark across it but I'll keep up the Rescue Oil and it should be fine ... but in answer to your question, i haven't seen Lucy about for a bit - she was over on the NSD thread too but I'm not sure she's signed up this month. Perhaps she has found a man, or is so busy with her spend diary and effort to get debt free, she's not had time to post - or she could be on hols perhaps??

So i'll be on the lookout with for some one with an iron shape tatoo on their arm, and then i'll shout, ITS KERRIGT :rotfl:

Maybe she took on the backpacking challenge? Aaaw, come back Lucy

I just thought about that one. Would'nt it be ironic if i saw someone with an iron shaped tattoo on their arm, tomorrow. I wonder where you are tomorrow? I'm going to be looking at arms, all day. :rotfl:

Aesop, you are in danger of becoming one of my heroes! JK Rowling and Snoopy will have to move over a bit.

My work texted me at 20 to 11 one night lastweek to say I had a meeting at 9 the next morning. To make it worse I didn't get the text till gone 1am. This morning I had a text to say there's a training session at 8am tomorrow (supposed not to be working tomorrow, haha). I would so love to take a leaf out of your book! :rotfl:

they don't come on MSE, too busy drinking themselves into oblivion!

actually when they woke me up and said I had been snoring that was what made them realise I was asleep, I realised I had heard myself snoring in my sleep..... :rotfl:

Thing is in my company.... the Managing Director who owns the company has been known to fall asleep in big meetings, onto my Manager's shoulder! her second in command's shoulder... and they have all had to cough, move, nudge her awake!

I feel asleep in my first big meeting with them last year... it was so boring, and I cannot sit still for that long without talking or moving. My Receptionist noticed and nudged me.... but I am not the only one at this particular boring meeting. The room takes bets on who is going to go to sleep!

yes, might just do it again tomorrow... but we have an outside company coming in.... who cares, we aren't professional anyway!

Today my Deputy wkaner manager came in with one of our assessors and said to me when is she going to get the information about her candiates? You haven't given it to her yet.... he has been trying really hard to make me look stupid over the last few weeks... egg on his face.

I turned around and said..... you are supposed to do it , remember, we discussed it this morning at the meeting. You will give her log in access and e-mail her. My colleague said after he left, I was brave to say that to him, as he did not like it! She said did you see his face? I said no, I turned away and I do not give a tsos about it! it is his job and we did discuss it this morning. I have more important things to worry about... like how I am going to pay my bills this month, then worry about a jumped up upstart on a salary when I am paid by the hour.

He tried to blame me for something by e-mail last week, egg on his face... I replied by e-mail (all our directors read everyone's e-mails...) and said here is your e-mail to me telling me why this happened... here is your answer.

then he had no choice but to accept he had known about it from the start instead of trying to make me look incompetent.

LOL, that's brilliant! I fell asleep in a training session once - struggled so hard to stay awake but it was the end of the day and we were short of time so the instructor abandoned the interesting, interactive stuff she'd been doing and just talked. I don't think she spotted me... I don't think anyone else spotted me... I don't think I snored but then I can't hear myself snore, though I'm reliably informed I wake my husband up!

I wonder if I'm giving away information that might identify me?!

I've just dropped Lucy a pm - will keep you posted.

As a reference, if you see someone with a nice red line across the inside of their left forearm, about 1 1/2 inches above a watch strap....thats me! :) feel free to say hi and we'll go for a cuppa and some cake x

I could blame it on narcolepsy, but it is sheer boredom. I cannot sit still without contributing for longer than 20 mins, otherwise i need to fidget, doodle, talk, do something. If I don't I go to sleep. My brain just switches off.

go on... dare you.... then you can tell them you were going to catch up on your sleep tomorrow but have been called in.
