Don't know how I'd cope without the multiquote doobery...

Ha ha! I love this. Best use of a meeting I've come across in a long time - and the 'To Do' list isn't bad either!

I think you are one of those people who absorbs information best if you are physically doing something (doodling is a good example - it often means the person is paying very good attention) so perhaps you need to take knitting or something into your next meeting, LOL.

I would'nt say i've got a day off today, so much as i don't have any work today. So this is the lean times starting to kick in again. I still have some work, but not to the extent, i've just been through. Nor did the ' big ' jobs materialise.

I'm sorry you didn't get the 'big jobs' Ani. Is there any casual work you could slot into when there's less call on your time? Packing shelves in the supermarket or something... doesn't have to be career-minded, just to give you some more income. Also, you never know who you might meet through work, and contacts are always useful.

I suppose my day has been made slightly better by the fact two lots of money have gone into my account

I don't know where to start with my day off.

If the house isn't a health & safety hazard and the paperwork isn't stopping you getting to the front door, I think you should take an hour or so for yourself, just have a stroll somewhere. :D All the tension you've been through recently needs some sort of counterbalance and low-key physical exercise is pretty good from what I've heard. Anyway I think you've earned some 'you' time, even if it's only short. :)

Your body is obviously craving certain vitamins and protein, etc. That is why you are wanting meat and veg.

If you have a tesco or asda near you, you could try wombling some receipts.

Is this still running? Whether it is or not, it's amazing how many Clubcard points get thrown away or never picked up. I think some people just don't realise it's money. Might be worth a try to reclaim some points, same as 'roadkill' (as you say, depends where you see the roadkill, LOL)!

and as for your possessions, don't you dare let them go. You keep trying to get them back.

    What she says. ;)

And I have to confess I didn't do any of mum's paperwork... did manage to fix a problem with the computer, though (I think!) so am hopeful it may be with us a bit longer. I'm not a technical person, it was more a case of getting it running fast enough to use!

Have a good day, all! :)

I've lost my voice so have had to cancel an MS job I had booked for today. Don't think they would appreciate me writing what I need to say to them.

You can womble uncollected points, think they said, 2 per day or is per week? key is to look for lots of points!

yes, the asda and tesco refund is still going on, although DTD has stopped, now just TD. Still better than nothing, esp with wombled receipts.

I am a person who cannot sit and listen to someone lecturing for hours. My brain switches off. I need to do myself or you keep meeting short!

yesterday's was a demo and only one person had the computer to do it on, I should have said I wanted to do it, lol. But I have seen the demo before, another waste of a day!

Thanks Aesop... I think the poor thing is just so full it's struggling - I've deleted an obsolete anti-virus programme and a copy of The Sims 3 which hadn't been played since last year and it will now defrag. Can you believe it was so full it actually sent me a little message to say it couldn't defrag?! Anyway, it now can and has, and I've switched anti-virus software and run a scan... AND I've opened a handful of mum's business post - one bill to pay and the rest are notifications, so not too bad.

Thanks for all the useful info Aesop. I have a printer but for some reason, it does'nt work. I've only used it a few times, ( yes, its got a new ink cartridge ). So, i have to go to a library if i want to print something, which is a bit of a pain. Can't afford to get someone to look at it, or buy another one. Besides this one was new.

You're right miggy. I did'nt do any cleaning, etc. Its not that bad, but i'm aware this is'nt my place, so you can't do as you please, the same as you can in your own home. Walked into town and bought some more expanding files, ( at the pound shop ), since the files i have already, have expanded to bursting. I've got to make a concerted effort, to keep on top of paperwork. So much easier then trying to sort it out at the end of the year, but not always easy when working excessive hours. I miss the accessibilty of the countryside. Urban walks, just are'nt the same.

I'm struggling to post, right now. With the criticisms of my diary, this week, and the need to go underground with my thoughts. I've been criticised for posting every morning, for saying things which are'nt neccessarily true. There is no reply, to this. How could there be? Which led to me analysing, as ever, the definition of a diary. Why do i have to analyse everything? Why can't i be like everyone else and say it is what it is. Or maybe i AM saying, it is what it is.

A diary is a record of what has happened over the course a day or other period. A diary is not a book, only a sequence of entries or journals of a person's thoughts or feelings. Generally the term is today employed for personal diaries, in which the writer may detail more personal information and normally intended to remain private or to have a limited circulation amongst friends or relative. Yeah, well. When i started my diary, maybe i was'nt thinking straight. I certainly never expected anyone to read it, let alone reply, and certainly not ' attention seeking ' , as its been said. Would someone spend 7- 8 months concocting a diary, for what purpose? Its beyond me. But it maybe strangers words can hurt, and i've been on a downward spiral, this week.

So, a diary may provide information for the authors own use. Self-vindication (pre- or posthumous). Theres a thought. Or two. Diaries are highly varied, from daily personal events, to inner explorations of the human psyche, to expressions of one's deepest self, to records of thoughts and ideas. Sadly, my diary has been more of the expressions of one's deepest self. More fool me. But it is all related to financial struggle. How is my deepest self today?

    Hi Ani

I am not even going to start to comment about your diary and it's postings. It keeps proving to be a bone of contention. It is upto you, is all I am going to say.

anyway, am off to dentist today, which is going to be interesting as I am having to write everything down. I went shopping locally yesterday and had to write notes to everyone. Even my own customer! I felt sorry for her, my mobile rang and she offered to answer but the person on the other end did not understand that I could not talk and kept yabbering away, expecting me to answer!

Do you want help with your printer? we could do some troubleshooting online. to find out why it is not printing.

Take it back to the shop - it should be under guarantee.
