Hope you do get to go out tonight, have a good time if you do.

As for the deep person... will need to explain that to you another time, have got to get ready for my deliveries.[/QUOTE]

I'll see how i feel. Its not something i'm keen on. Going to the pub for the sake of going to the pub. Especially the price of drinks. What a waste of money. On the other hand, its a step in ANY direction, is'nt it?

I'm all ears. Maybe it goes some way to explaining who i am.

Now why did'nt that quote work :rotfl:

Hi CP, good to see you x

That certainly is Fred. Seems to be on early in the morning.

You can't fail to NOT be drawn in by his enthusiasm for what was, essentially, his very being. Thats why i found his story so sad, as i think he eventually did drive his wife mad and they split up, and he openly admitted to the effect it had on him. I've a feeling he got together with someone else, though i may be wrong. I think he was enundated with letters from women wanting to look after him !

Too true - Fred IS good for the soul. The universe should be full of people like him. Then the world would be a better place.

I DID go out last night. Admittedly, i did'nt go out until 11 pm, i did'nt get back from work until 10, and i only stayed for an hour, and had one drink, since i've got to work today, anyway, but at least i made the effort to go. Which is a challenge in itself. That drink was sssssso good, hic

I did'nt have much option as they came straight out to the car, before i'd even opened the car door. I wonder how they knew i was back? :rotfl:

Had a quick bite to eat, and then walked two miles to catch them up. Now if i'd known it was two miles, i would'nt have gone :rotfl: Still, i DID make the effort. I could have stayed longer, ( more free drinks on offer ), but i don't like to take anything off anyone, that i can't repay. Got another couple of invites for later in the month. Not really my bag, but i feel i should do something i don't want to do, in order to, what?

I've got some food, now. The good thing about working on a saturday night, means you get some bargains at the supermarket. My last £15 spent, ( i hope that money definitely arrives from the universe, i was holding on to it), bought me a shedload of goodies. £1.49 for a cooked chicken, ( saves on leccy, too ), finally got my chicken, lots of fruit and veg for 10p each, including a lettuce. Since when did leaves cost a fortune? and how come cooked chickens now cost over £4 and are half the size. The size of pigeons, in fact. The planet has gone mad. Shows you how long it is since i've bought one. The last time i bought a cooked chicken, it was somewhere around the £2 mark, reduced to 50p, and twice the size.

Was it you Aesop? talking about growing your own tomatoes. I bought a tomato plant last year, which was adequate, for me. I don't have a porch, now, but might buy another this year, if i've any spare cash, and just grow it on the window sill. Frankly, i've always wanted an allotment, to grow my own, but they are like gold dust, everywhere.

H ho, hi ho, off to work..................

Huh, just realised the irony of that statement, i don't like to take anything i can't repay. But it IS true.....................

first of all, just for you

pleased you went out last night. It will do you the world of good to do some socialising even if you are not sure about it.

Hmm.... noisy car told them you were coming? anyhow they sound very friendly your neighbours. Mine are quite cool now, they offered me some dinner when it was their ramadan, which I said yes to.

Yes allotments are rare these days as everyone trying to be more self sufficient. Where I live I am within walking distance of 3 allotments. I just don't have time or discipline to look after one and DS makes things like that very hard.

Yes I was talking about tomatoes, I even bought DS Strawberry growing kit yesterday and we will hopefully do that this week.

As for the cost of meat.... it is ridiculously expensive! Even uncooked chicken! I was looking at lamb joints yesterday and they were £7.xx upwards.

    I didn't buy one!

I try to go to my local sainsbury's when I know they are reducing stuff but it is pot luck what they are reducing. I did pick up some bargains recently though, but never had chicken so cheap.

Don't forget to look at coupons for when your printer is set up and working, you can even use them on reduced items, so worth having a look.

I just looked at my ring finger :( no ring, still haven't found it. I have a feeling DS took it out of my pocket and threw it away when I was washing up, but I did look through the bin.

No way we can afford another one and it was unique.

    C'est la vie.

Thanks for the info about the free sight test. Free spectacles as well?

I'm so sorry about your ring. I'd forgotten about it. Some things are irreplaceable, whatever anyone says :kisses3:

My immediate neighbours are very friendly. Someone still keeps complaining for no good reason, and i have'nt worked out who, although i have my suspicions. Small mindedness ? Nothing better to do? Nowt so funny as folk?

I forgot. Did you have a good time at Wembley?

Brilliant news today. I heard on the radio today, theres finally been a barricade at Stanlow, i think it was, of a 1000 people. I have 'nt seen the main news, but its about b****y time, i say. I don't know why the British public has put up with the rising petrol prices, for so long. It was saying about panic buying at the pumps( well theres bound to be because people don't think ). If we carried on buying petrol as normal instead of putting a £1's worth in everytime we pass a pump, there would'nt be this insanity, queues a mile long etc. Still, its worth it . I wonder if its for the duration? I hope so. I fully support picketing. They want to bring fuel in line with prices in the EU, which is 25p a litre? less than the UK. That sounds more like, and even that, is extortionate.
