Happy belated birthday. Thought it was your birthday this weekend for some reason. Never mind. Or Happy Unbirthday as the case maybe.

Which theories do you not agree with? Not saying that they are necessarily right the theories or wrong. Just interested. Intelligence is a state of mind I think. It is not about how you can spout reams and reams of quotes or languages or quantum physics, etc.

Some of the most intelligent people I know (you're talking PhD's in various fields of science and medicine) lack so much basic common sense I find it scary. I think I know what is more useful when it comes to navigating one's way through everyday life...

Don't put yourself down Ani, you don't have to be 'intelligent' to have an opinion or angle of thought on something.

ah yes Kerri, had this conversation a few times. The young lady I work with has a very high IQ, so does her father. BUT she is brilliant at maths, can work out sums incredibly quickly, make sense of maths stuff quicker than I can, have told her to re-train as an accountant but she is young and better the devil you know, etc.

Anyhow, she is high iq, but doesn't get basic stuff, doesn't understand some stuff I say, she admits herself, she is smart but not street smart, and has trouble understanding logical things.

I think the brain gets too taken up with processing lots of information of one type or other and can't handle common sense.

    Am I making sense?

Today I was talking about belt and braces for a new process at work and she didn't understand what I meant.

Its like chinese whispers here, re the debate as to when its my birthday, which just goes to show how easy it is to misread :rotfl:

I said its the same day as Hitlers, which is tomorrow :rotfl:

I treated myelf to a bunch of daffs for 99p tonight, so at least i could justify spending 99p.

I can't process any information tonight and i'm sorry if i sound rude. I'm just sooo tired i can barely get to work anymore. Off to bed now, as i've another loooong day tomorrow. Its just back to how it was before i went br, work, work, work. Why? I'm so tired, i can't function anymore, Sleep

Urgh. I wish i could stop myself from falling back into the mindset of thinking there is no point to life. Because there is'nt. Its only days like today and xmas day, which make me feel sorry for myself in a big way. The days when you realise that no one in real life actually cares enough to send you a birthday card. A mere celebration of the fact you are living. The day you were born. Created. What a waste of space.

Its made me think back, this morning, to how excited i felt, when i was a child. April 20th, was my birthday, and the only day of the year when i was allowed to have ' friends ', or children from school, home, to have a party. I used to look forward to that one day of the year so much. The one day, when i was like everyone else. Except, i never really was.

The truth is, i get really upset when people don't care enough about me, as a worthwhile human being, to send me a card. I know its only paper, and its stupid to get upset over commercialism, but there it is. Everyone has people who care about them, don't they? Most people can't survive, without thousands of friends who care for them and support them. Tell them how wonderful they are, even if they are'nt. Boost their already inflated ego's. Maybe they are even more insecure, than me. I suspect this is the case. Most definitely, in fact.

These days, its just a day when you wake up, think where am i working today, what time? oh, is'nt it my birthday too. Shame about that. Each year, i think i'm not going to have another birthday. Maybe next year.

Thanks for your wishes, here. I don't know why i've bought the daffs, as i won't be here to look at them. This is making me feel worse, writing. I'm sinking into real sorryfullness. Howay. Go and get ready for work. No one will know what day it is, at work
