Life after bankruptcy?

13 months after bankruptcy. Very little has changed, to all intents and purposes, except i'm now living somewhere different, i'll never have, truly, my own home, again, and the rest. Still got my car, which fortunately or not, i owned. Even though i spend thousands of pounds to keep it roadworthy, its monetary value is of no consequence. Its value is intrinsic. Thats it then, is'nt it. Plus job. Even job won't last forever, i'm not foolish enough to pretend it will. At some point, things will change.

But until then, and for this year, at least, i'm going to stick with it, as i try to build up some funds, at last. Realistically i need a grand sitting there permanently, so i'm not conitnously worrying how i'm going to pay the next bill. A target set, and i'm going to achieve it by the summer. I've got to, i can't carry on living like this, with no personal allowance for food, is unacceptable. Even other mse'ers that are struggling have a life, go to the pub, go shopping, can afford to socialise. None of these things, i can afford to do. I need some new work clothes, too, another luxury, along with basic dental care, and the like. I've got so much to catch up with, but maybe i can, if the work continues to flow. I'm halfway through the tunnel now. Bankruptcy and repo has gone. I've got to start rebuilding, but that will only come with working and the funds. So i'll be back to working 7 days a week again, if thats what it takes. Quite by chance i was speaking with someone who said they were associated with th IS this week. I asked which one, and it was my branch. So i decided to keep schtum about myself, rightly or wrongly. But its interesting they said there are more self employed people than ever, filing for bankruptcy. Such a shame. But i'm going to come out of bankruptcy, and still give it a go. Thats me all over. Stubborn to the last. Keep that bloody car too. If i can't get through this year, nobody can. Its going to take a superhuman effort. If anyone can convince themselves they are superhuman, i can.

In the meantime, i've got to chase my pay. Its crucial to the month from hell. I've got enough to cover my bills until the end of the month, thanks to a couple more bits i was paid thiis week. All except the road tax, that is. If the worst comes to the worst, i'll have to take car off the road again, until i've the funds, and hope i can make alternative travel arrangements. How many times have i had to take it off the road, recently? Stupid tyre. I suppose i should be thankful it was a front tyre and not a rear tyre, which costs twice as much, again. I've just about got enough for petrol, this week, and the basics, the stupid pint of milk scenario. Not long before rent is due again, either. Thats come round quickly. Only 12 hours to go until i can check my bank account. This is as bad as its ever going to get, again. Onwards and upwards.

Not such a chilling day, after all, but at least i did'nt have to go to work. I hate being domesticated, domesticated i am not, but at least i've done some cleaning, and i'm up to date with my accounts. All systems go go go, for work next week. Mission, to earn as much money as i possibly can. Next mission, get them to pay me for the work i completed two months ago. I've enough money in my account to cover the 5 dd's due to go out before the end of march, first one tomorrow. Car insurance, owch thats going to hurt. Just enough left then to cover expenses and petrol costs to work. It leaves no budget for food shopping, as ever, but i did well this week. After the initial hit on monday of the unexpected car expense, i spent a total of £1.95, all week. £1.40 train fare for work and 55p milk from the local shop. A good week as ever, on the nsd's. I'm just going to forget about the road tax, now. 10 days of motoring left. Well, 10 days is 10 days. After that, who knows? The car is grounded. Aaaargh, i forgot about my ni conts, then theres the rent. Looks like that £2 will get spent after all. Urgh sb

Ugh, bad start to the day. Whats the date 21st March? This is beyond a joke. My bank account is seriously depleted this morning. Its been quite comforting looking at it this week, even though i've not spent any of it, it was good to know it was there. Car insurance now paid. This time next week, is going to be real crisis point, yet again. Got to try and sort this, this morning. Its totally unacceptable.

Great to hear your news especially from the hospital and on the money front! What did you do to them to make them pay? (Imagination working overtime here).

I simply don't know why i changed my name, because i always will be Nh, and although it summarised how i was feeling when i found mse, i've almost imperceptibly moved on from that point. Even i can see that. But i did'nt see it, maybe as negatively as others did, because its me, if you understand what i'm saying.
