Ani, one day at a time...
Somehow you just have to take it one day at a time. There's not much they can do to you that they haven't already done, is there? And you've survived.
I agree with you, it's preposterous that you have to wait for overdue eye tests, dental appointments, and a comfortable bed. Can you try Freecycle for a replacement mattress? And keep an eye open for special offers on eye tests. Though you can't afford it right now, the day will come, and sometimes the reductions are considerable.
I'm assuming you've checked and you don't come under any of the qualifying conditions that would get you free prescriptions? I seem to remember you've mentioned your medical history before but am guessing you aren't getting treatment right now?
Hope you are feeling better in the morning, but don't let that persuade you not to go to the doctor's if you've felt bad tonight.
Sleep tight.Miggy

Oh my God, i'm rich. Theres money in my account. I can't quite believe it. I'm staring at it thinking where has that come from. I know where its come from, but i was only expecting maybe a sixth of that amount. Theres enough to pay my car insurance, road tax, and the rest of the bills until the end of the month. I can pay my road tax in full, which was my target, because by doing that you save whatever it is, £15? £15 is £15 and i don't have to spend the next 6 months having to worry about that. Thats car done with now, barring unexpected major breakdowns. Just some minor things to fix, some of which i can do myself. Does'nt leave me much left over for living expenses, as ever its investment in getting to work, but i don't remember the last time i had that amount of money in my account. Still awaiting my main pay from january. When are they going to pay? Its ridiculous, i've received pay for more recent work, and if they had paid me, i would'nt have been in this position. But thats the joys of being s/e. Always waiting on someone else's pay system.Debt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?

Miggy, i'm so excited. Did i tell you, i'm rich? Well not that rich, but i might as well be a millionaire. At least i've enough money to pay my imminent bills. Its such a relief. Today is a completely different day to yesterday. But you're right. Its still difficult to look to the future, when its still very much one day at a time.
I did have a £5 boots voucher for an eye test, but of course, i did'nt have a fiver. I should have gone whilst i was on esa, biut of course i was so stressed, it did'nt occur to me at the time. I'm undecided whether to go dr's. I'll probably keep putting it off...........
Have a good day all. xx I'm off to work. Didi i tell you i'm rich ? :jDebt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?

Okay if the news reports a strange woman getting arrested for dancing in the street and waving at clumps of daffodils on your behalf, you know where to find me. Excellent news, I am so happy for you.

Now for a minor nag, as Miggy said, get to the Dr's. And just checked to see if there are any deals for eye test and Boots are doing them for £5 with online booking - Is that doable?:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0
