The lurgy is even worse today, unfortunately :(

Never mind, i've been debating whether to call in sick today, but can't afford to lose a days pay, so off to work, later. :o

Hugs to both you and Aesop, may the lurgy go very quickly now

Get well soon both of you. :) Hope you get a good night's rest tonight.

Ani, sorry to hear work was so bad. Snow too... at least the colder weather will make the daffodils last longer.

Its been a while since i wrote in my diary. I mean, really wrote. I'm halfway through my monthus horribilis. The goal i have set in my mind. If i make it through to April, i've never got to get in this situation again. Not even halfway through yet. But theres a calm resignation. I'm so used to this now. I can't pay what i have'nt got. Got some unexpected pay on friday, for work i'd done less than two weeks ago. So why can't everyone be like that? What would i have done this weekend, without it? Paid another bill, spent a tenner on petrol, another tenner on food. A small amount left in my account, but i still need some more petrol, so its likely to go on that. Theres no point in saving it for my next bill as its nowhere near going to pay even a small part of it. May as well continue going to work. The 20th. Thats the one thats been worrying me all month along with the road tax. Huh, road tax came yesterday £205.00, exactly what i'd anticipated. I knew it would be around £200 this year. Roll on, when i don't have to pay it at all. But theres the insurance first. Will it be taken out on friday or monday? Well they can't take it out if its not there. In which case i'll have to change it yet again. But i feel, surely some money has to come in this week? If i don't get my pay from january, i'll have to ring them, yet again, even if it means i get b* for doing so, and for the sheer embarrassment of grovelling for what is rightly mine, when they've no idea how much i need that money. Seriously need it. I've a feeling i might get some more pay tomorrow, although i've no idea how much. Back to the waiting until midnight game, everyday this week, but theres no point in getting upset about it. Everything is looking healthier on the work front, now, but May is going to be the big pay month. I'll have to survive on ' bits ' until then. Despite what everyone says to me, including the ' real ' world, i'm not ready to throw in the towel, just yet. I won't give up a job i enjoy, that i'm good at, that i've done most of my working life, and i won't give my car up, just yet. Not without giving it a b* good shot, first. Till the end of the year. I've got to build up some funds by then, surely? I've got to build up some funds for sure, because i can't carry on with no quality of life. Carry on, just so i can go to work. For what?

How can you have a budget when you literally live from hand to mouth. Waiting for the next cheque, to pay the next bill? You can't budget for anything. Nor can you budget what you don't know you will earn. So for now, its just waiting for the next pay, to pay the next bill thats overdue.A minimalistic lifestyle, you could call it. Very minimalistic. So for the next two weeks, wait for pay. Pay car insurance, road tax, utility bills, mobile and internet. I doubt there will be anything left to play catch up with my ni conts. That will have to wait until April. The gas bill will be settled soon. I want, no desperately need an eyesight test, which i should have gone for a year ago. I need to go to the dentist, which i cancelled last month because i did'nt have the money. Are'nt these normal things, that ' normal ' people do? even those struggling with debt? I desperately need a new mattress, its seriously past its best. Something i've wanted / needed for several years, now. These are stupid targets, but i can understand why someone with no money, forgoes them. Its a luxury. Since when has going to the dentist been a luxury item? I must also look to opening a second account, when i've got the funds. I've got to have an emergency account, car fund account, rent account, whatever, if i can get to the stage where i can out some money aside.I need a rent fund, too. Although i've adapted to where i'm living, its by no means permanent, and i've got to look at finding somewhere, i can call my own, again.

I'm feeling better within myself, too, well apart from the lurgy. I can't decide whether to go to the dr's tomorrow, before it turns into full blown bronchititis, because its debilitating, and theres no way i can miss work this week. A chanced to check if they've heard anything as well, although they said they'd phone direct. But i just don't like going to the dr's. See how i feel in the morning. I'm generally feeling better in myself now. I've got beyond caring what people think or say about me. Its of no consequence. Its hard to believe all i've been through. Its almost like it happened to someone else, i've done such a good job of blanking it.I'm just trying to focus on the here and now. Although i'm tempted to call in to the estate agents tomorrow, just to have a nosey. No one will recognise me, will they?
