Life after bankruptcy?

Oh Ani... 95 hours is crazy.
I so hope you get paid this week, this is really not fair. It sound as though you're doing all the 'right' things in terms of finance, buying wisely and so on. You could probably write a book. Being so tired will contribute to your feeling so low, too.
I can see it's a real catch 22 of a situation - work is taking all your time and petrol is taking a massive chunk of your money, yet you have to work to have any income. I don't know why it is that you have to travel so far (not being nosey - I respect that it's important for you to keep that confidential) and I'm guessing it's not a set-up where you can have your clients come to you. Would there be an option of combining forces with other people in the same type of work so you could trade referrals? i.e. jobs nearer you for you, and nearer the other person for them? I am guessing too that you must be a desirable commodityas you are in demand to this extent.
Thanks for getting back in touch, I was worrying and kept checking for you.
As Beanie says, keep plodding. The journey of a thousand miles, as they say, begins with a single step, and you've made many steps along this post-BR journey already. It's got to get better.
{{hugs}}
P.S. I have a new nickname for you: 'desirable commodity'. I'm sure that would attract a whole other set of followers, LOL!
You're right, it is crazy, and i can't keep this up indefinitely, though indefinitely it is, for the imminent future.
No, its not possible to join forces with other people, sadly, but thanks for the suggestion x
I love the nickname. I want to change my name, right now, ( but then, i am impulsive ), if nothing else.

I think the problem is none of us know how to reply. This is a very different situation to most of us, and I suppose Beanie has it right as always. Just plod on. that is all you can do. It's silly isn't it, those of us who want to work and not live off benefits are struggling, and still need some sort of benefit support to just sustain a very basic life!
I'm sorry no one knows how to reply. Maybe there is no reply. But maybe it helps the odd person who feels like this, too, as i'm totally honest and open about how i'm feeling, whether its liked ,or not. If you don't like, don't read. If you feel you would like to reply, ( in a sincere way ) , i'm humbled.
The sad fact of the matter is, Aesop, i'm simply not going to survive without some benefit support. I've been trying to work out in my head, today, why ? I maybe only earned 8 or 9k last year, with all the time off i had, and the recession. The sad fact of the matter is my rent is £550 a month, which equates to £6600 a year.
Now, before anyone shouts out, why is your rent so high? lets remember how close i came to becoming homeless and beggars can't be choosers. I had nowhere to live. I've got to move from here in the not too distant future, because i can't afford the rent, anymore than i could afford my mortgage, and thats what is so depressing. So i need a deposit, more removal fees etc. The fact is, i can't guarantee earning enough money at any given point to keep a roof over my head. The welfare state won't help me. I need somewhere half the price, that i can afford ( joke ) to rent. Remember, i'm an ex bankrupt. My options are limited, and realistically, what can you get to rent, that costs under £500 a month. Then theres all your bills, before you even think about up front expenses for work, Then food, ( whats that )?
But its the 6th April now, and my p60's should start rolling in soon, and i'll be in a better position to assess my situation and reapply for wtc. In the meantine, with a bit of luck, i'll kill myself by working 100 hours a week, ( irony).
AArghhhhhhhhh
I'm not having a go at you Aesop, i just feel my situation is so hopeless, and the system forgets or does'nt care about people like me who have made the system what it is.

I know it is not ideal but could you become a lodger? Even if the rent was similar you wouldn't have bills to pay.
Short term it may work and help you to build up an emergency fund.:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -

Thanks Maty xx
I'm a lodger already, and i seriously need to regain my independence, and re establish myself as a human being.
I still can't manage from day to day, let alone build up my emergency fund.
I suppose a caravan is an option. I know someone who lives in a caravan. But even that, is costing as much as i payDebt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?
