what is there on the underside of your sofa to attach legs to?

IF you drilled a hole with a smaller diameter than the screw on the legs could you twist them in?

A wide hole, and it just kind of fits in - has to occasionally be banged in to remain firm. One must have snapped though, as it's the only one that falls out. The newer settees have a screw hole with a thread to attach screw; if that makes sense; but the hole for my legfs is much bigger.

I will try and take photos tomorrow, so it makes more sense hopefully.

I wondered if a big rawl plug in the hole, or wrapping the metal in plumbers tape, or superglue and a chip of wood in the hole to tighten the fit. Hmm, an interesting puzzle.

I get what you mean! That may well work as that's kind of the concept my current legs are based upon. I need to have a nosey around a Diy shop or online, as i rarely get to go in DIY places

You don't say what sort of Cath Kidston style, but if it is the flowery ones this company have a great range, I have ordered from them before:

    Hi guys :)

I'm in the middle of revarnishing the (nasty and old) chest of drawers in our bedroom and had a thought about decoupage.

I've never done it before so couldn't decide whether to simply decoupage the handles (like Jumble Jack has on her pinterest page - avid follower!) or to go for something a bit more adventurous like this using sheets of old music:

Would it be particularly difficult to do?

    go for it!

I was in Home Bargains Folkestone today and saw royal langnickel ez rub on transfers sheets at 12p each. They look like stickers but you rub them on with a lolly stick. I bought a few sheets and so far have embellished a paper red cross coaster with butterflies! The vintage type ones have potential. Loads on fleabay and they are not 12p

Can anyone tell me what they think this might be?

I acquired it for free, it has a slatted 'seat', although I don't think it can be a seat as it's at the wrong angle, and it has rockers. My only thought is that it's a rocking footstool???

Hoping to have my first go at shabbying!!
