Wow, missmilly that looks beautiful! I thought about doing the upholstery myself but I'm too scared! I can't even see how you take it all off. Was it easy? And do you mind if I ask what you sold it for please?0

Thank you
It was quite fiddly to do, I started by taking off all the tacks (they were in strips), and took all the buttons out, and then stripped off all the fabric. I then got scared too! A heavy duty stapler and a glue gun were essential tools for the job!
I sold it for just under £100 very quickly and easily on eBay
Good Luck0 -
Missmilly, you've inspired me so much, I've just finished stripping the chair of fabric! Was a job and a half, whoever had re-upholstered it before me had done a sterling job. There was blood, sweat and (almost) tears. Did you re-use the same studs or did you buy new ones? They don't look like the same ones in the photo.0

Haha I know exactly what you mean! I totally wrecked the original studs when taking them off, and I couldn't find any similar that I liked, so I bought some gimp braid and used my glue gun to stick it on.
Oh, and very well done for having a go0 -
Just a quickie. I've always used F&B paint and just left after painting as it's quite durable, but I've just used ASCP for the first time and realised the finish is definitely going to need protecting. I have a clear B&Q soft wax, will that do the job?0

Yep!!!!
Will do just fine!

If anyone wants to try their hand at subway art, sticky vinyl letters are at poundland. It looks great on really plain chests of drawers. You paint one colour, spell out your words, paint another colour and peel off your letters.

Except these ones are all the same size...0 -
