I may take a photo of all my sock monkeys sitting on it later lol x
Oh I didn't realise it was the original colour on the top it looks fab. Would love you see your sock monkeys they sound really cute0 -

(sorry about lack of caps i'm feeding ds while typing one handed).
I would say that a rough sanding would be OK but I'm an impatient girl0 -
Here is a little peek at some of my sock monkeys for you Craftydeb :

Your sock monkeys are lovely Shelley they are really cute thanks for showing them
What a fright with the oil lamp glad it all turned out OK :eek:0 -
Cute monkeys Shelly
and glad to hear all was ok with the oil burner in the end, I hate things like that!
The kitchen's still looking shabbier than chic, but it's getting there and last night resembled a kitchen for the first time - photos on my homepage if anyone's interested.
I finally got busy with my paintbrush and painted up this old fireplace
Not much, but it makes the room look much lighter and it will do until we find a surround we love. Excuse the messy fire, it was too hot to clean when I started and then I didn't dare disturb the ash incase it stuck to the paint!0 -
Wow Bibbitybob the fire surround looks great and I just had a peek at your homepage and the kitchen is going to look fantastic. Well done it must take a lot of dedication and patience :jLittle Miss Chatterbox

nice to see everyones projects, i have 2 on the go , a bureau & my grans old display cabinet (which will display the china tea-sets i seem to have started collecting, strange thing is i dont drink tea!). both have been primed & given a coat of F&B Dimity, the oil based one, although i find it a bit thick, anyone else noticed that?
anyway i think some Cath Kidston wallpaper would finish them off nicely. i'm thinking of the Antique Rose in blue, although i like it in cream too! does anyone know if there will be a sale & if so is wallpaper usually reduced? at full price & P&P its just not in my budget. normally i would ask for it for xmas but this year i've been treated to Take That tickets so it isn't an option!'there goes an old transexual, last seen heading south,

I only find the F&B oil eggshell to be thick when it's been opened a while, when it's new it's lovely and smooth.
Depending how much you need, there are people who sell CK wallpaper in 1m lengths on ebay. It's not good value at all per m, but if you don't have £22 to spend on a roll it's a cheaper way to get some. HTH0 -
Thanks Bibbitybob, the 1st tin of F&B i used was lovely but the one i've just opened has a much thicker consistancy, maybe its an old tin, i bought it when they were changing over to the water based one so maybe it had been in store for a while, still love the colour.
I saw the CK wallpaper on ebay i need about 2 1/2 meters so it would be a similar price to buying a whole roll, & of course i'd have the rest of the roll to admire:D.
well my display cabinet is finished & tea-sets displayed, albeit to just me & the cats:rotfl:. need to figure out how to add photos now! x'there goes an old transexual, last seen heading south,
