I have been given some picture frames,so I am looking for ideas for them now :)

I painted the chairs in left over white oilbased matt undercoat, chest of drawers and chest in Antique white silk emulsion ( with added grout for a matt finish)
kitchen units are W*lkos quick dry silk gloss in Ivory Tusk, they were scrubbed with carbolic soap and lightly sanded, then put new handles on ( fleabay bargain)
the livingroom had new floor put in (rotten) painted all things mahogany incl door and ripped out brick fire place and put new one in ( again Fleabay bargain)
bathroom was scrubbed, painted ceiling and towel / toilet holders, skirting and pipe box white, then put new silicone round.
then bought cheap blinds on sale and cut them down :)
the floor was the most expenditure

flo - how's the renovations coming along? Are you builder free yet?

I've been given a 50s chair that's cross between a wing back and a rocking chair but on suspension springs rather than a rocker. Tatty isn't the word for it but it's so unique that I needed to bring it home and love it. I've never upholstered an entire chair before so took it to bits very carefully to work out what's what. The fabric and innards were disintegrating in my hands.....very, very dusty. It's stripped back to the wooden frame now so I need to get it rubbed own and then start the rebuilding work (I'm thinking of doing it a patchwork style as I've got some cream, brown and green velvet corduroy that someone donated to my stash. I shall uplaod some piccies when I'm done.

I also found a fab chunk of retro fabric in a charity shop, it's a flax and cotton mix so quite hard wearing. There was 6m of it for £10 - bargain! I've just are a news paper template for a bean bag so will get cutting later and hopefully it will look lovely.
