Love the make over, units looks fab, work top tiles all look great ! The throw on the sofa is that a home made one or shop brought ?? & the picture on the wall! is also fab as is the welsh dresser!
Thankyou gingababe!
I am useless at crafts and don't even own a sewing machine, so I bought the throw from Dunelm Mill, it is still in the shop and I think it is £39.99.
It is machine washable, because I knew the dog and kids would be jumping around on it, and it is a big king size one. I check ebay, but something similar (english rose) was £49.99 & p&p etc so this was the best and cheapest I could find and it is Reversible - the other side has small pink flowers - very beautiful
My husband made the picture on the wall - I just collected all the old signs from t k Maxx etc an old style clock from Dunelm, some left over oil cloth for the background. The frame he painted cream and distressed - it was originally a mirror, he took the glass out cause we have so many mirrors in our house!!Groceries challenge

Many thanks your kitchen is an inspiration.:j0 -
When we bought this house it was nice but not the sort of cottage that I knew it could be ~ Hubby and I are separating but one of the few positives is I've managed to find a new house, close to my mum (which needs some work).
The current house is in boxes at the moment but I thought I could share a few before and after pics of when it was "work in progress".
As soon as I get into my new place I'll start a shabby chic renovation thread ~ keeping busy is a good therapy and there will be plenty to do!:D
This was the Kitchen at viewing
and here is is after the accessories, worktop and F&B painting frenzy.
The Living Room at viewing (they covered a stone floor up with screed!!!)
new faboo living room ~ after the crowbar, acid wash, fireplace and lots of elbow grease!
Local friendly carpenter replaced the staircase as the old one was falling apart we also changed the room orientation around for more space.
Dining Room at viewing and it's new shabbier incarnation....
Sorry didn't take a picture of the awful day glow yellow bedroom but our painted wood and pale green shabby bedroom is much more restful
Hope you like the pics

I love both your wonderfully decorated rooms. Crusty, what a fabulously large kitchen - I'm so jealous! We're in the process of buying a new house and I really wanted a kitchen/diner but unfortunately, the house I fell in love with has a small galley kitchen.
NewlySingle - all the rooms look beautiful and very comfortable - what are you going to do now you've finished?!
I'm really inspired, I just need to move so I can get painting and decorating!“I tell you, we are here on Earth to fart around, and don't let anybody tell you different.”

Thank you Philippa
Mine's a small galley kitchen and it costs less to make a compact kitchen prettyIt took 2 years to get most of the rooms decorated (bathroom was still to go, but Hubby and I are now splitting up (not my choice). The flat I've found has plenty of "scope", lol
