Sootypea That is lovely. Anything with any possible shabby chic potential goes for lots of money here even in boot fairs. Partly due to lack of items from a smaller population I think, so anything good gets fought over.

    *excited*
My Authentico chalk paint was delivered today and I'm making myself wait to open it til I am going to use it. That's guaranteed to get my arris in gear with a project!

I don't know. I have never used chalk paint before. I wonder if AS is triumph of style over substance and the Authentico was cheaper. That swung it.

nice article and she says "
    DEPENDS WHAT YOU WANT?
If you want to do paint effects with minimal effort, because it’s soft, ASCP has the edge in my opinion. If you want a formal finish, with minimal brush strokes and ease of use, AV has the edge IMO.
  • Sootypea, that is so pretty and I love your wallpaper and colourscheme!

From what I have seen on the internet - not a lot of difference in the price of AS and autentico-chalk-paint. The prices of the brushes by AS are expensive - can these be bought cheaper elsewhere?
Then there are folks who love F&B or LA paint. I find so many available paints/finishes confusing.
I will have to make a decision - do I buy AS or the Aut.... paint or F&B/LA or have my first go with paint I mix myself - scary stuff!

My wax brush is a 2" paintbrush with the handle sawn off so I can access little areas. Works great and didn't cost a bomb!
