I have painted chairs like this with this result, I used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint followed by AS Clear Wax
So, yes, they are just right for a bit of Shabby Chic! I have some more photos of others I have painted which I'll try to find.
Hope this helps

Surbybird, that chair is AMAZING! I would pay good money for a chair like that. I love it!
Thank you.
I do sell my chairs from time to time and I'm trying to build up some stock to take to a local artisan market, so there are currently a lot of chairs in my house in various stages of covering!
I'm doing fabric decoupage on another chair at the moment, which is a bit trickier than paper. I'll post some before, during and after pics as I go along with the fabric decoupage if anyone is interested.

I haven't seen that magazine as yet, but I shall have a look for it, as I would be interested in a round crochet seat cover too. I seem to have so many projects on the go at the moment, but they keep me busy!0 -
hi all...
i have read through a few posts and wanted to just check something out......
i have a bookcase that i currently working on, i decided to use DIMITY but once it arrived i decided that i would save that for something else as i want to keep the bookcase white.
What is the best white paint to use that will still look good once i have sanded here and there to make it shabby?

Hi all.
I upcycled a fabric magasine rack tonight to use for hiding away my crochet projects.
Very shabby chic. I painted the frame with chalk paint and used fabric scraps for the material.....
