That's a nice shaped table, hope you got it at a super cheap price! What colour are you going for? The little stool/tabel are you going to put a cushion on it? That's the trouble with bargains, need a mansion to keep them all in!

the table was £5, but at a cat's protection charity shop so that's my donation for the week. I think it'll be off white or cream. Though pale grey blue is tempting. The stool will have to have a plant on it for now as they are everywhere and taking over the carpet...
Then I bought a 1930's bureau which is being delivered tomorrow. It's huge and something will have to go to fit it in. My poor husband is being very sweet about the stream of furniture and said as I don't have my hair and nails "done" not to worry :)

You've got a very understanding hubs how nice....now you can let loose on all the c.shops :D

I have made some more paper flowers, this time in a reddy-pink colour and at the same time re-painted the yellow ones that I showed previously, so they are now an orangey red, and they all match nicely. More photos you know where;)

I bought this doggy table in a charity shop & the little stool table at a bootfair yesterday. I'm going to paint them if the house doesn't burst it's seams first!

Thats a lovely little table and would look gorgeous in any of the colours you mention. And to a great charity as well - hope you get some good karma coming your way.

The chazza mirror that's not a mirror would make a great chalk board or pin board! Love it!
That dalmation table is such a lovely shape! Those flowers look real!
    You girls rock!

Thanks everyone for your kind comments on my makes.
I was wondering if it's possible to do the paper flowers around some fairy lights, that would look pretty in winter if it can be done.

Could you make the paper fire retardant first? I know light shades have to be treated and they don't touch the bulb! I'm not sure if theres a spray you can use?

I haven't posted on this thread before, but read it avidly and have picked up many tips from you all, thank you :).

I thought I'd show you the little chair I have just upcycled. I bought it from an auction for £3.00, it was a very sad and battered plain wooden child's chair complete with signs of old woodworm.

I painted it with 2 coats of Annie Sloan paint, then waxed it. It still looked a little bit plain, so I attempted to brighten it up a bit with some roses painted in acrylic paint. I'm pleased with the end result, but wish I could get the hang of painting leaves! I just have to varnish over the artwork and it's finished.
