My x2 layers of primer have yellowed in certain areas - any ideas why this could be? Is the yellow likely to show through the eggshell? It seems to have occurred in the same places - ie the legs. I sanded everything well yesterday, with coarse medium and fine paper so I'm a bit confused!

These cushions will be on offer in Lidl on the 23/06 - I think they are really pretty (three types of fabric) and pretty cheap too :j

I have just painted an old bench in buttermilk, it looks soooo nice and very shabby chic - you can have a look on local eBay for one!

I've just started painting the dressing table I mentioned a couple of weeks ago. Well actually I haven't, I've started on the stool, as I'm too chicken! I've applied one coat of primer, and it looks awful - that's normal right? I want to minimise brush marks - I was planning 2x primer coats and 2x eggshell coats - should I sand between every layer? Or just after both layers of primer and between each of eggshell?

    Thanks

in my experience they do look awful untill you have several coats on.

some of mine have had about 4-6 undercoates before i even apply top coat

Oh I adore your lampshade! :D

My mum has my gran's standard lamp and she has promised it will be passed down to me. :) I'll need a new shade though, the one that is on is like a tapestry and nicotine stained
