I'm a Bridezilla and my confession is... I made my sister sell her baby on the carboot because there was no one to look after it during the wedding. Lol.0

We've not had too bad a reaction to getting married in November. My sister got married in August a few years ago, and it poured the whole day, so I think they accepted then that you can't control the weather! I also can't think of anything worse than wearing a big dress in the middle of summer, and feeling all hot and sweaty! I love the idea of being all cosy inside when it's dark and cold outside.
Our colours and going to be ruby red and cream, and we want to bring the Christmas theme in too as we both love that time of year. It's nice to see that some of you don't think it's too early, as that was our worry.
Swinstie - that's a shame about your wedding plans falling through, but as others have said you can still have a great day at home.
Enchantica - I keep saying that I want my dog involved somehow in the wedding, but no one is taking me seriously! It's not really possible at our venue, so I'm settling for having some pictures taken beforehand with her. My mum's already panicing that I'll end up with muddy paw prints on my dress! Your cake looks brilliant too.
I've not had any wedding nightmares yet, but you lot have got me scared now!!Getting married 12/11/2011

All excited that my save the date cards have arrived from vistaprint this morning, and I think they look fantastic - can't believe that I got them for free!

Aw that's exciting that your save the dates have arrived!
I bet they look fab.
It's a shame that you can't have your dog in the wedding but will be nice to get some photos with her beforehand. There should totally be an allowance made for animals at weddings! What's cuter than a dog in a bridesmaid dress after all?!0 -
Bluespirit - Yay :j about your STD's , I love Vista Print such good value
Well we went looking for ceremony venues on the weekend, found a beautiful place which now I want the reception there aswellWhich may not be as crazy as it sounds as the current reception place is going from bad to worse, a friend of mine went to a wedding there over the weekend, she said the service was terrible and the food not so good either
BUT If we change the venue I'll have to get new STD's :mad:0 -
Getting excited now, my fur shrug arrived from ebay today, it's gorgeous and goes perfectly with my dress. The woman selling it said it didn't match her white dress so her disappointment is my delight!
Got over my disappointment about not marrying in Barbados, just need to decide on guest list and then we can book the restuarant's function room. Does anyone wish it was this November though, I'm really impatient??
P.S. Would you send out save the dates if it was just family coming during the day?0 -
I TOTALLY wish it was THIS November. I am practically ready for it to be this year. Well, apart from the money part for paying the venue lol. Not quite got that saved yet. And if it was this year we wouldn't be able to afford a honeymoon. Ach well, gotta play the waiting game I guess! I'm even more excited because after we get married we are hoping to start trying for a baby not too long after
I'm 26 and my maternal streak has just kicked in big time.

enchantia - Wow youre very organized then! and Yay on the baby making! Im still working on the OH on that front.
Im nowhere near ready for it! We're looking for a venue, we do have a wmc booked but OH has gone against it so we're after a new place. Went and saw a room at a golf range today. It ticked all the boxes but it just seemed abit pricey for what is was (im always after a bargin)
I do keep on thinking 'this will be my last christmas as a miss' etc
swinstie- Im not sending out any save the dates. I would only really send them if they we're coming from far away and they needed to book time off work.:kisses2: Getting Married 5th November 2011 :kisses2:0 -
I really wish it was this November too - not that I'm organised enough, just really excited about it! We also want to start trying for a baby after the wedding.
Swinstie - that's brilliant news about your shrug :j
Aussiemum - Glad you managed to find a good ceremony venue. Have you made any decisions about the reception?Getting married 12/11/2011

Bluespirit - I have told the first place that were cancelling and we want our deposit back, so now i'm looking for somewhere new and waiting on folk to get back to me with quotes. It's all a bit stressful to be honest starting all over again.
Enchantica and Bluespirit- very exciting about trying for a baby, I was 25 when I had my son, it's a good time to start a family0
