Birthday dinner over. Kept up with the giftcard. I think everyone had a nice time.

Monday is Columbus Day in America so all banks and post offices closed.

I posted some letters to my friends back home. In my purse I had twenty .98p USA stamps. I had to buy and daditional .07 stamp for each letter to post it, so I spent $1.40. (I only had 14 letters)

Obviously I could have sent emails but I had the stationary and stamps to use and I think people like to get some actual letters from time to time.

Thanks RB. When I get home I am really going to apply myself to the cc's

I have found out I have 2 more work trips to America before the end of the year plus I have to fit in my surgery for the explantation of these implants

Today I looked at my body and thought about how ugly the reconstruction is now, I will look worse when it is over. Pretty teary

Two more work trips? Crickey, I feel exhausted just thinking about the energy they will use up - hope you are being suitably recompensed by your employer!

As for the scars - I'm sure you're being over-critical and anyone else looking at them would simply feel admiration for the strength it must have taken to get through the experience.
Have you tried Bio-Oil? Expensive stuff but worth it if used long-term. I've got a 40cms scar right across my midriff - actually four scars sort-of joined together - from ovarian cancer & three caesareans, and I found Bio-Oil improved the appearance a lot. Unfortunately every time I lose weight my tummy hangs down over them because the muscles are beyond repair, which causes sores to develop - annoying, but better than being dead far too early.

being alive is a good thing. Will look at the bio oil to see how much it is.

Yes the trips are exhausting. One to NY and one to Phoenix!

    :grouphug:Hi Newleaf

They are your battle scars, and you have fought a very tough and courageous war, which you have survived.

I don't think anybody goes through these experiences without a degree of Post Traumatic Stress.

You are doing everything right, you have got the best medical treatment and support to work through things, eventually you will reach acceptance, but don't rush it, it's a healing process that takes time xxxx.

Hi custardy! Thanks for popping by! Both RB and I are doing it. I am finding the most difficult part the dorsal raises. Never even knew they existed until now.

My main question is, I like to measure things. So I need to figure out a metric that would be best to chart any results.

Should I measure my bosy? The time it takes me to do the exercises?

    Help!

Thanks RB, most of the time I feel defective. I think this is why I have let myself go.

I am glad we are doing the rep challenge together
