Those working hours are so much better for you. I will keep my fingers crossed for you for the next set of interviews. Hopefully, as you're already employed there it will make things easier for them to take you on rather than someone from the outside.Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

American shares should hold up pretty well with the US elections in November, they will not want too many shocks.
There is a chartist on ADVFN who is uncannily accurate and this is his prediction for the foreseeable future, so it looks like now is a good time to exit.
My shares were mostly with GE who I worked with for 13 years x.Weight 12 st 2lb - Now 11 stone 1 lb (-15 lb)

Newleaf, am also keeping fingers crossed and wishing you the Best of Luck in your next round of interviews.
Fascinating graph, Rainbow Bridge. But isn't the likelihood of the pattern repeating with a further steep rise after 2017, affected by the fact that nearly 10% of the US is now owned by Middle East states?
I'm heartily glad PC sold all his shares when he did - at the peak according to that graph - I'd have found it nerve-racking to have to deal with stocks in the current financial climate. I wish all of you who do have that dilemma, good luck in picking the moment to sell.0 -
Absolutely Robin! The blue line could go all the way down to 4,000, after 2017, if things don't begin to sort themselves out. PC selling at the top of the trend was inspired.Weight 12 st 2lb - Now 11 stone 1 lb (-15 lb)

hi all. I am just back from the hospital. I don't know if I mentioned this before on another thread but I had a bilateral mastectomy for breast cancer and reconstruction. The reconstruction hasn't gone very well and they keep getting infected and they keep having to take them out and put them back in. They are infected again and they have to come out and the surgeon says there is no point in having them put back in.
I am gutted. I already feel awful about my body and now I will feel like and look like a monster.Mortgage: £280,752/ £262,515.84

Oh Newleaf, I didn't know you were going through this, what a terrific amount of stress you have been enduring, and yet still you are so busy caring for others, you are lovely.
Could you get a second opinion? Are there any support groups that you are affiliated with who can really understand how you are feeling.

RB the initial surgery was some time ago. It's basically been the reconstruction nightmare that keeps going on.

Dearest one, I had the same thing done some years ago and had quite a few problems with the implants. I understand exactly how you feel.
You will never look like a monster, that picture is in your head. My advice is to get a second opinion and make it very clear how you feel. The emotional trauma of such an operation is very well known and there should be a lot of help for you out there. I will come with you if you need me.
