Good Morning NewLeaf,
Oh great; I see one frustration has been removed from your life thanks to the [tardy] washing machine repair man - hip hooray!
And I suspect that you've finally broken the bond with your false friend - that was an expensive lesson for you - but as it is impossible to help an addict until they reach rock bottom, all you can do is protect yourself from their twisted sense of entitlement.
If this woman approaches you again, please remember Grand Benders' wise words:Grand_Benders wrote:Remember way back when you posted your SoA and said you needed to work out where the rest of the monthly income was going? I guess it's time to take a bit of step back and look a little more objectively at your situation.
Why are you busting your ask* to save everything that you can and struggling to pay off THEM and then giving your cash away with no expectation of having it returned?
Consider this a 'kick up the ask*' madam. It's fine to be generous, with time, advice, whatever... but not to your own cost when you're in your own little MSE battle.
..Well said, GB!0 -

Here we are at the second half of September already, and 99 days until Christmas. Time really goes by quickly!
Today is a friend's birthday and she has asked us to meet her at the cinema for a matinee. Neither OH or I have been at the cinema since the Iron Lady and before that maybe 8 years. The usual way I try to catch up on movies is on work trips plane journeys. It's really expensive!
Walked the dogs which I loved as with the chill in the air they are all really sprightly.
Hope everyone is having a lovely and relaxing Sunday xMortgage: £280,752/ £262,515.84

Wow! Congrats. What kind of mattress? I dream of the day I can buy a Tempur!
Have you been entering loads of comps, or was it just random? I've been thinking of doing some comping (like I have any spare time lol)0 -
Well done on the weight loss. Hope you enjoyed the pictures. I really want to go and see Ted, OH isn't so keen though and as all my spare pennies are being saved for DS wedding next month, I need OH to come to pay for me. I agree, it is expensive though.
Well done on the mattress. Is it something you could sell?
Have a good day.
