    Pineapple that is genius.

While I was away I asked a friend to look in on something in my house for me. She called me last week at 930am drunk to confess she stole a bunch of stuff from me as well as £250.

Thanks for all the love and good wishes. I will get better soon I am sure

That is a horrible thing to do. I'm not sure she comes under the banner of friend now. No wonder you're feeling down. Such a betrayal of trust. I'm really cross on your behalf!

That is pretty awful of her but at least she confessed. Imagine if she hadn't and you'd had to broach it with her x

I can't be friends with her anymore. In the past I have gone out of my way for her.

I am getting my locks changed tomorrow, because even if I asked for the key back I wont feel safe. BTW new locks £140 + VAT!

Necessary expense for peace of mind. Don't feel guilty about it. I wouldn't feel the same about the 'friend' either, once the trust has gone, it's very difficult to go back to what was.

Gosh that's appalling! ..If she doesn't make good pdq that [ex-?] friend is in for a crushing dose of karma! Meanwhile I do hope you are not very upset by her terrible behaviour, Newleaf. Have a dodgy hug: :grouphug:

I don't blame you re the locks or not friends any more either, just a pity it's an extra expense for you. I have to say as tolerant as I am, once you hurt me, I do not forget easily. I can be a nasty Granny when the mood strikes believe it or not, it just doesn't happen very often.

I'd be inclined to send the locksmiths invoice to her, and say you expect all the money to be paid at the next pay-day/within 30 days or you'd be reporting the incident to the police. What she did was worse than being burgled. Hugs for you.
