    Hi Granny, GB and Buffy,

i think the electric may be on the up the last few days as we are using fans down here so we don't melt. It is overcast today, but still meant to be around 25.

I took some initiative and made an appointment with a therapist for this morning. Need to get a shower and start jazzing to be there on time.

Don't really know if it will help or if it is needed, but I am trying to be behind the wheel of my own car metaphorically speaking, and understand all my emotions and feelings and not feel like a passenger in my own life.

Will write some later to give an update. (I am a bit creeped out about telling a stranger personal stuff)

I hope it goes well for you. I believe, no matter what's going on in life, taking some sort of control helps. You are doing well, I echo what Buffy says, you're not foolish!

Good idea and if it helps, I give you permission to think that the therapist is me and that they are not a stranger at all x

Hope it goes well honey, I'm here whenever you need to talk x

Hello! I have returned. It wasn't so bad, and I do think I need it.

She seems to be nice and has an interest in helping me.

I wonder why I feel so sad still then?

Because you have spent today focusing on your problems. That's enough to make anyone sad. Chin up honey. Glad you liked her and felt able to talk, that's a very big first step x

Granny thanks for the love and support. Today is a new day and I am going to try to be as happy and positive in the moment as I can.

Some good financial news: I won an award at work last week so they are sending me a $500 visa gift card. I wish it was £500 but I will have gratitude for whatever I get that is unexpected. Never had a v*sa gift card so not quite sure how they work, but I am sure to figure it out.

The management company for the flat we rent out went to install the new hob and cooker yesterday and they sent me an email saying something had to be done with the electric to make it safe, I hope that doesn't cost too much.

Today is supposed to be much cooler down here which is a blessing. The dogs and I have all been sweaty messes.

Today was much cooler. I had some strawberries and raspberries from the garde: FREE!

I made £20 which I will deposit tomorrow.

We are off on holiday on Friday, even though I need the break from work, I am not looking forward to it. It's been paid for since March so I will go. It's a cruise so it is all inclusive. I dont really drink (don't hate me granny) so wont have to pay for that.

Have a $100 on ship credit which I may use towards a massage.

This is the first holiday I have been on with a do it myself pedicure. I'm pretty proud I didn't spend for one :)

I could never hate you my dear and I'll let you into a little secret, I don't drink much either, except when I do, (which I know doesn't make much sense, I really mean I don't often drink but when I do....), I drink to excess x

I bet those toes are really pretty and sparkly and I don't do feet so you are honoured that I'm even mentioning them.

I hope you have a fantastic week away, with plenty of r&r and it helps patch things a bit. I know its difficult right now, but perhaps time away from debt free things will relax you both x (I really hope so)

You also have a $500 visa gift card so you should definitely treat yourself to something nice!

I hope you enjoy the holiday, despite the current circumstances. I promise I'll PM back just as soon as tomorrow's done. It's my last day of 'must do' things during my hol, then I have time to stop and ponder life and all it's intricacies (and recover from a visit to my mother's smoky house)

    xx
