Oooooh Mrs New Leaf sounds really fab - I like her style. I sometimes wish I was brave enough to go bare faced, however without my slap I look as if some one has dug me up and put some teeth in me:rotfl:0

Ah yes, I see. Well she should still accompany me and missrlr (and you can come as well if you like) and she can moan about how long we are taking and can carry the bags (until we get fed up of her chuntering and we will send her off to the pub:j0

She is an excellent bag holder. As long as she is rewarded with a coffee and a large muffin, piece of cake, pan au chocolate she will stand there all dayMortgage: £280,752/ £262,515.84

So Robin your post about OH cutting back made me die laughing. OH in a nutshell:
1. doesn't wear makeup
2. doesnt wear perfume
3. no jewellery except a bezel set diamond
4. no watch
5. no perfume
and for last and least OH who is almost 50 have never shaved, waxed, plucked or threaded any part of her body ever. I mean never. No part. From head to foot.
She considers it a personal affront if she has to pay more than £10 for a haircut.
When we got together, she had furniture made from crates in her flat. I dubbed her syle "Early Dormitory"
So not too much cutting to be done there
Well I rest my case! Golf appears to be a main extravagance for OH as she doesn't 'waste' money on the usual fripperies..
NewLeaf, OH sounds like a woman after my own heart!..Substitute British Racing Green for khaki and you have my wardrobe choices too - Dot you could drag me along for a glamming up session if you take NL's OH and Missrlr- but you'd have to do the shopping; I can never imagine what might look nice on me when it's on a rail with thirty more the same (unless it's a suit). DIL3 sometimes buys bits for me as she's got a good eye, but generally I slope off to the charity shops when she manages to drag me to town! :rotfl:
I should also point out about OH that as she is going through the meno she gets the night sweats and I always tell her if she wasn't a YETI maybe it wouldnt be so bad!
 Jeez I know you're joking NL, but even my dear Aspie PC managed to be more sympathetic re the meno than you - which is saying something! :rotfl:0 -
Sometimes when I am joking with her I tell her when she is old and bed ridden I am going to take a pair of barber clippers to her so I can finally see what she looks like under thereMortgage: £280,752/ £262,515.84
