    Todays on Sky News:

"Tesco is expected, once again, to report record interim profits on Tuesday. The bank Citigroup suggests the figure will be around 1.13bn against £908m last year. "

    Take this how you will....

Actually, that was a joke in reply to your comment on my spelling ...etc.
    Sorry, you're quite right.
With so many posts being deleted it's hard to keep track of who said what. I see we have another area where a lot of the "controversial" issues can be aired so hope this one can remain open and stay on topic now.
    Can I help?

After just doing my shopping at tesco's and finding NO products to R&R (was only a quick shop as the weather and how busy they are on Sundays) I got to thinking and came to the conclusion, all these that try and stick up for tesco and intentional R&R (mse members) shoppers etc.
Right i find an item tomorrow morning that is over priced what ever it may be.I go to the CS desk to get my R&R,follow the CS person to where the item i have got is and she removes the SEL.The item should be on offer as it is not out of date or anything,so she removes the SEL off the shelf and gives me my R&R.Now nobody else can claim an R&R for being overpriced on that item,so everyone else who buys that item that day and the days that follow is unknowingly being over charged by tesco's.Now it's been proven on here that these errors have carried on for days,so when managers start to get shirty with people claiming R&R's just say out loud, what about the ALL the people who YOU have overcharged who haven't noticed. If they say things like someone else has already had one of these today or yesterday, etc.Ask them why they haven't updated their computers etc so they are not overcharging customers, when they KNOW a product is either NOT taking a discount off or is blatently over charging ALL their customers.

Is the Maltesers & Friends glitch still working, the 2 for £4? I saw a SEL today but wasn't sure if the discount comes off now...

Whilst your argument is perfectly fair please bear in mind that the pricing at the tills is set centrally and cannot be altered by each store. Assuming this is correct then the till prices are the "correct" ones and the SELs are the things that are incorrect

If you take the meat as an example, although the SEL might say 5.29 a kilo and it goes through the till at 6.29 a kilo as printed on the pack, this makes the SEL incorrect as the till and pack price agree

Do not get me wrong here I trawl Tesco, usually for meat misprices, and little and often is what I find best but I figure that with thousands of products to match SELs with the till price then inevitably errors will occur and, hopefully, result in an R&R

I do not subscribe to the conspiracy theory only to the incompetance one
Only time will tell if I am right or they are wrong

So whats your take on them charging more for things that have "20% free" marked on them such as the peanuts or dishwashing tablets metioned in earlier posts?
    Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)

Sorry but I'm not sure if this is correct. When I worked at Sainsburys as a price controller 7 years ago I was able to reduce any prices on the main frame that I wanted. I oculd also make BOGOFs work correctly and take cash off if a number of products were purchased. Everything was checked and had to be signed by the store manager but it was possible. If Tesco's cant do this 7 years on then they have a very poor computer system.
We took on Mr T and we won:D

Shame it had to end, will have to get free stuff from comps now
