So how have you 'blown my legal arguments out of the water' ?
The points I have tried to explain to you and others concern that fact that under contract law it is the customer who makes the offer to purchase and it is the retailer that accepts the offer. No more than that.
The statements I have made do not refer to after a contract has been agreed and the goods have been paid for.
As the op how do your statements reply to my op?
I never implied to being legally trained and comments i posted related to consumer matters, if the company accepted payment they accepted contract of sale....it's not rocket science
And if they accepted payment and contract was agreed what relevance did any of your comments have ?0 -

Now I've tired of toying with you. You're far too easy.
Back to Tesco discussion, people.
So rather than admit your statements were wrong you choose to be rude.
I think any reasonable person reading your statements will deduce from your rudeness that you lost the argument.0 -
Redfox, rather than delete the posts made by Nesima, myself and others tonight, could you possibly move them to the new Tesco Ethics thread in the discussion forum?

I think that last statement speaks for itself. I have nothing further to add. :rotfl:In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

The relevance was that you stated:

My post was trying to simply point out that under contract law (the law that applies in this situation) that it is the potential buyer that makes the offer to purchase not the seller. It is the seller that completes the contract (subject to payment) by accepting your offer.
I am sorry this simple piece of information led to the attacks from the rude and arrogant other poster, but I personally made a decision many years ago to never give in to bullying and intimidation - verbal, written or physical.0 -

And therefore when the seller (Mr T) took payment and the contract was fulfilled then the seller was liable to action for overcharging.:D
Any explanation of your rantings since my original post would be best understood by a much cleverer person than me
Goodnight :rolleyes:0 -

SAVE THIS THREAD
guys oh guys, i am new to this thread(about 3days)and i read every post. i might not have grasped the whole concept yet, but i want the thread to remain open - please. i want the discussion to be able to continue, which wont happen if the bickering continues.
do you really want a single member to be able to bring down this whole thread?
i only see one poster in this thread who seems to be against the R&R concept, but several "regualrs" seem to be biting at the bait - continuously
the said poster is wrong, but by arguing with them, its not looking good to the mods.
the said poster will WIN if the thread gets pulled. just bite your lips and let then have their say. if you dont reply, they will go elsewhere.
