Nesima wrote:For the record I don't want this thread closed and I don't work for Tesco's or have any direct shares in Tesco's (I don't know what my pension fund invests in).
I believe the activities of individuals that set out to exploit Tesco's R&R policy, that is there to compensate customers for Tesco's genuine mistakes are at best morally dubious.
A
whilst Tesco's constant day to day overchanging of customers across the land is morally acceptable
and i think we all agree Tesco make a lot of genuine mistakes..... in their favour ....0 -

I didnt read that bit in your originalpost....did I miss it....
It would be interesting to have a legal opinion on that.Couponing....."every little hurts"
Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

leadhead wrote:I think you are wrong there....the thread is a Tesco mis-price discussion thread......Its to discuss misprices and all the consequences of R&R.....not whether its legally or morally correct.....or thats the way I believe what the mods indicated in our last "telling off"
Athough you may be correct in assuming that I act morally dubious.....but far from criminal.
So as not to encourage Nesima any further and, more importantly, so as not to wind-up Redfox, I've opened this thread in the Discussion time forum.

Please keep this thread on topic and useful, and the posts relevant to the subject!
I have just spent yet more time going through this thread and numerous posts have had to be removed again. These threads continue to veer off into arguments or sniping at each other and as said before, if they continue to take up too much time for the Forum team and the BGs (and they are!) then the tesco threads will be PERMANENTLY closed.
This is a very busy forum, so it is bound to take up more of the BGs time than most. The majority of shoppers in this forum really don't want it to close but after reading through the last 2 days of postings, I can't see where it does veer off from the topic of Tesco misprices/refund policy. I'm sure it does, but I guess I just cant see it?
Instead of just deleting what you consider to be offending posts, I'd be grateful if you would show us examples please, then we will know exactly the kind of thing that you don't like.0 -

A discussion thread on this topic should allow people who object to the R&R exploitation that leads to prices being put up for ordinary customers or investors loosing ( 1 o in losing) out to express their view.
How can you have a discussion without the range of alternative views being expressed ?
There is a difference between discussing and calling people things which they are NOT.Just cause you believe something is wrong etc.Do you think for one minute that if these people were criminals as you say tesco's wouldnt of got the police involved by now?So some people have been banned which is within tesco's rights as they own the stores and most of the time the land around the store too.How can it be a genuine mistake if the same R&R is given week in week out.If they leave the SEL's there or put the posters back up and the discount still does not come off, then they are the ones misleading people into thinking they are getting a good deal when obviously they are not.Why do you think trsco's have this policy in the first place?
If you want to have your views here and let people know what you think about it,1) expect replys to what you post and 2)and don't call people criminals or ilks just because they are doing something you think is wrong but you feel is ok for a massive corporation to do to everyday people......©..®..(TM) NothingVentured.

They had the DS poster up!
It was so tempting
But I did the right thing
Its not nice working for them is it.
I was in a store last week which had up the 360 + Just Cause GOTW save £20 poster up, plus under the game they had a SEL for the PC version (£10 less) and they had an out of date DS poster up.
I was so tempted, but alasTitch0 -

A friend of mine who works for Mr T has in the past told me i've behaved illegally, immorally etc with R&R. The same friend has now asked if i spot an xbox or psp can i grab one for him :rotfl:0 -
Constantine wrote:Yeah I told them. Tried with a GA, it was still there when I finished shopping so found a manager.
I really was tempted. Do I feel better having fixed it rather than having a nice new DS to play with?
I suppose...I have one anyway. If I didnt already own one, I think I probably would have done it
That was rather selfish of you.OK don't get another one and bravo for that but what about someone else getting it for their kid as a christmas present who couldn't of otherwise afforded one?Did you get extra points on your clubcard as if you had took your own carry bags in their with you?......©..®..(TM) NothingVentured.

I don't believe it to be selfish or otherwise. This can be played as a game, some we win, some Tesco win. It's up to constantine what side he plays on. Tesco won that time but we win a lot of the time too
Edit - just because someone couldn't afford one does not give them an entitlement to one under R&R policy .... if they had seen it before constantine they would have got one0
