When I worked for another supermarket chain we changed the increase prices first, when all the increase price tickets were up we then applied the increases on the stores computer. The decrease prices and offers were applied on the computer/till system before the decrease / offer tickets went up on the shelves. This way the customer was not charged more than the shelf ticket. Obviously with any store/chain there are mistakes made but only Tescos offer r&r.

That all sounds very familiar ;)

You confuse me, mate. Why do you troll some threads, but seemingly try to provide useful information in others? Even to the extent that you open up your own bargain thread...

Lol - I love this TescoEmployee person.

They type like if they phone up all these different stores and let them know about price errors, then they are going to get a medal, or, even better, a pay rise!

I am going home from uni for the weekend so I will have access to my car - r+r hunt for me I think. Might find some delicious beef.

Oh, the TescoEmployee - Can we please keep it? :p

Apologies if this is a bit off topic, but I didn't really know where to post it.

As some of you may be aware I'm currently preparing a claim for damages against Tesco for defamation of character. It relates to the whole R+R thing and the way that some managers have said my R+Ring is criminal/fraudulent etc, have demanded my name and address, told me I'd been caught on CCTV, and said all this info would be "circulated", etc, etc. (I take great offence at being falsely accused of breaking the law by a company that actually does break the law, day in, day out).

To try and find out exactly what they've been "circulating" about me I posted off my cheque for £10 to Head Office to ask for a copy of all info the company holds about me, as per my legal rights to see this info under the Data Protection Act.

I've had a letter back off their legal team asking that I supply details of which stores I've visited, together with dates and times.

Now hang on a minute. Surely the whole point of my request is that I'm asking them to give me this information.

All stores are part of the same company, so isn't it sufficient for me to just supply my name and address and tell them to get off their backsides and trawl all the managers' PCs, PDAs, mobile phones, diaries, filofaxes, notice boards and CCTV systems from all 1900 stores? I have no wish to assist them in this process. If their company has grown so big that they can't keep tabs on what happens in each store, then that's hardly my fault, is it?

Does anyone know if I'm under some kind of legal obligation to supply them with stores visited + dates + times in order for them to process my request under the DPA? Or am I right in thinking that my name and address is all they should be given?

This may be slightly off-topic, too, but......
I was shopping late last night and there were glorious reductions galore on meat, bread etc which I happily take for a Charity. My budget is limited, but I help in this way whenever I can. As I did my sums, a Manager arrived and said I would be banned from buying Reduced items if I picked things up, but did not put them in my trolley.
I was reading what they were!
