Oh My GOD!
I thought the threads had been closed, then spent over an hour trying to read the 60+ pages from the last 5 days!
huge drama with taxiphil...glad you got it sorted out and look forward to hearing future developments.
Can people stop posting pointless things that make this thread huge. Im sure the salient coments from these 60 pages if all the bumf was extracted would only be 20 pages. It would help us all to keep up to date. (I know this post is hypocritical)..but please BE LENIENT WITH YOUR POSTING!0 -

I doubt you will find the winning combination now but if you do get lucky then when you're collecting from CS tell them you've been overcharged. If you read throught this thread then you'll find all the info you need. You should be aware that you may not get the refund or it may need to be referred to HO.
Good luck if you try it.0 -
is there different wording on the posters? or is it just save £20 when you buy with an xbox 360Trophies are like Buses, you wait 26 years.

Tell them you have bought this and really came in for some cheese and a bottle of wine.
You need to go to CS normally to collect the console so only broach the overcharge once you have the xbox in your hands. you then play it by ear they will try anything to not give you the r+r best advice read the thread about the ways others have got theirs. It could end up going to HO as the store sometimes wont back down.
Tip: buy using a credit card, it doesnt cost anything if you win they refund on to the card so a £0 ballance. If it goes to HO then they will send you a cheque or tell you to return to the store bank the cheque and pay off the card, if you have to pay a months interest on £320 it will be worth it for an xbox 360.0 -
The problem is i tried to buy a core with it on monday and they didnt have any after i had paid so they then took the extra for the premium, and as they didnt go through in the same transaction then they would only give me the £20 off. But as long as HO will 99% refund me this then i think i can live with it off my credit card for a few days.Trophies are like Buses, you wait 26 years.

you should have walked away and got a refund, the store would then hopfully put the box back on the shelf and you could return and buy them together.
I have seen new posters up where the GOTW offer isnt even on them, not covered up or anything maybe that is the future from Friday.0 -
Just reading through some of the 'spots' on the various R&R threads, and I have to say I am disgusted by the way some people claim to have spoken to store assistants... They are only doing their job, not trying to con you out of a freebee...
I truly hope that most people are actually a little more courteous than they claim, else you're vile, vile people...April Grocery Challenge £81/£1200 -

i was wondering as we are all friends if someone would be willing to go in and do this R&R for me? The sign is still up and they have the game and the xbox premium in stock!! I know this is a bit of a long shot but it just might work!
I've seen it all now.....
It's one thing a newbie posting "Guv, How do I get me XBOX for free then?"
But to ask a stranger from cyber-space to travel to an unknown store, fork out £320 on your behalf, go through the hassle of probably being told to 'go away' by CS staff - and then the Head Office process with Kevin and the Clubcard Girls......
What planet are you on?
Perhaps you I could drop my sister/brother (delete as appropriate) around your place and you could sort him/her out whilst I R&R for you?
Deary, deary me.
Go back to the store - when the shift has changed - do it yourself!
