and another.............
"Our core values 'no-one tries harder for customers' and 'treat people how we like to be treated' characterise our approach to Corporate Responsibility. We believe we can achieve most when we work together on practical things that make a difference. 'Every little helps' can become a great deal when everyone pulls in the same direction." you will see when you walk round tesco's that they use 2 different colours for the SEL (labels advertising the price on the shelves) normally the yellow ones are the sale price and usually they have an end date of the reduced price on them.If this is out of date, a lot of the time the price has gone back up to the original price (and the yellow one should of been taken off) As it hasn't, they have to sell you the item at the reduced price (which is how a lot of R&R's are given) as this is false advertising......©..®..(TM) NothingVentured.

In my local store today the tory haydon book sel is £8.97, it was £9.97 a week or so ago but the books all had £8.97 stickers on them.
All offers on finest meals had the save £1 blacked out. Is MR. T's staff on the ball or are they hoping for a bonus from the profits?0 -
Well I called HO and they said the store is NOT exempt from the policy.
I said 'So the guy lied to me then?'
'Yep' says he, 'It looks like it. I'll get in touch with the store and express your concerns.
Then added that if I want, I can write and complain directly to HO...........I thought that was what I was doing!
LLbiglugs wrote:Call HO and ask if it's exempt, and if it is would they mind you complaining to the Advertising Standards Authority and Trading Standards, and can you have the name of both the local Store Manager and CS person you speak to so you can make sure your report to ASA and TS is factually correct.
If it's not exempt ask if HO would mind sending you a written apology for allowing their managers to lie to customers, and then report them to ASA and TS for deliberately misleading advertising. We are all in the gutter but some of us are looking at the stars........................0 -

Nope, you complained to CS in Dundee. HO is in Cheshunt. As far as I am aware, the complaints procedure requires you to put in a formal complaint to the store manager first. In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

there should be a dvd cover with the item on it or a piece of paper with the barcode on it where you can either use the self service till or ask the person on the till to do a price check on it for you.If it is wrong go back a bit later and get it.......©..®..(TM) NothingVentured.
