Hi all, I have bben reading these threads about R and R's with avid interest, but I am confused about a couple of things (it doesn't take a lot!). I notice that a lot of people are successfull with meat being overpriced, but I thought meat was priced individually on the sticker itself, so does that mean that the price per kilo is shown wrong on the receipt compared to the price on the packet?, also deals like the xbox and GOTW, how do you all know about this, did someone buy it and then realise it was overcharged so let everyone know, or do people just try there luck and see if deals like this aren't coming up correctly, if its the latter, then what happens if you decide you don't want the product? I know stores have a scanner in but you can't scan in two products and see if any discount comes off on these, or can you??
Hope I have made some sense!! I would love to try and get my first R and R but am scared that the Customer Care people would shout at me and make me cry lol!!0 -
I wonder if they will stop selling the dragster hamster wheel things as the hamster is in hospital? he will be there for a few more months too so top gear dvds will drop in to the bargain bin. Also did they sell them while he was in the helecopter between hospitals?
Im sure all the r+rers can put on a decent spread for your store Constantine, how does finest fillet steak, seloin and ribeye sound? we can eve put on a games room witht he xboxes, PSP's and DS's. We just need some free TV's can you sort any out?0 -

just seen this on the tesco website
http://www.tesco.com/todayattesco/pricecheck.shtml
If a product is price marked and a different price is shown on the shelf then the lower price is taken.
We try to ensure that the prices displayed on this facility are fair, representative and accurate. However, in an independently collected survey of this size, it is always possible that an incorrect price may be quoted.
Helping you spend less every day.
I was just wondering that as they are claiming to have the cheapest prices?? whether the price checkers are getting r+r's on Tesco products thus giving the idea that Tesco are cheaper than the other supermarkets named.....just a thought :rotfl:They've got cars big as bars

Kimmywim, the meat are all priced individually based on the price per Kg. In the case of meat overcharges the pack will say £24.50/Kg and the shelf will say £20.50/Kg so 400g finest fillet steak will cost £9.80 on the pack as per its pack £/Kg but the shelf says it should be £8.20. As most people use the price / Kg on the shelf to work out whihc is the better value they see the £20.50/Kg and buy it but get charged £24.50/Kg
The xbox origianly someone bought it and didnt get the discount yes and it needs someone to buy it or it to be scanned at the checkout to see if the discount works. the just cause one was easy to spot as the yellow label that indicates the offers was under godfather.
Finding the mistakes is easy getting the r+r is the hard bit.0 -

here's another one to those who have experienced abuse from CS.
- We will not use, or condone the use of corporal punishment, mental or physical coercion or verbal abuse. Tesco has disciplinary procedures for any member of staff whose conduct or performance falls below the required standard. They've got cars big as bars

Can you define what the required standard (according to tesco) is?0
