    Honest geezer,

There are Tesco stores in Barrhead, Kilbirnie, Irvine, 2 in Kilmarnock and one in Ayr. Have yourself a day out.

I know m8 been to a few but getting sick of it,and I wouldlove either anything free :money: but don't want to go traipsing everywhere. If I phone I would have to ask for the psp and the 360 and it would be suspicious.Plus I haven't yet seen a poster up here so maybe the area/regional managers have told them to take them down :(

That's why I was wondering if anyone had had any luck in Scotland/Glasgow:beer:

Today I was told that Tesco 'Don't HAVE to abide by the price promise'.
I asked why it says on the blue board behind the CS desk ......and quoted blah blah blah
'Oh that' says he 'We've not done that for months.............its an old sign'.
I was feeling ill and had to wait over 30mins for a £5.80 refund.
I asked several times if I could use their phone to ring HO and they said no, because it was store decission if they refund money.
I got it but wasn't happy with the palava.
I told the guy (manager) that another manager had explained, and pointed out the policy to me when I was in that store about 9wks ago (not my regular area).
When I stood my ground he said 'what are you moaning about? You get the meat free now'.
I wonder if I should call HO tomorrow and ask if this particular store is exempt from the policy and if so why is the blue sign still up?
The manager so was cocksure that he was right, he wrote his name and HO tele: number down and told me to call them..............and I didn't even ask for it!
Do you think they are clamping down? Anyone else have this 'To-Do' today??

Call HO and ask if it's exempt, and if it is would they mind you complaining to the Advertising Standards Authority and Trading Standards, and can you have the name of both the local Store Manager and CS person you speak to so you can make sure your report to ASA and TS is factually correct.
If it's not exempt ask if HO would mind sending you a written apology for allowing their managers to lie to customers, and then report them to ASA and TS for deliberately misleading advertising.

OK I have finally managed to go throught the Tesco store finder and update the POI with all from the book, I left out the metro and express stores I also didnt put in stores not in England, Scotland or Wales

There are files for tom tom and garmin navigation systems.
    Download from here
    http://rapidshare.de/files/35282150/tescopoi.zip.html

Tom tom just copy the .ov2 and .bmp files in to the map folder

    i wonder!!!

i have been reading this thread for 4 or 5 days now (yes it took me that long to read it all :p ).

what struck me was how different in store CS people handled various situations.

what i was wondering was...were the people getting the most hassle/lack of help/intimidation etc women?

i am not a sexist, but i just wondered if the "little lady" was being given a hard time by some arrogant men and !!!!!y women?

i am a big guy and wont have any problems standing my ground if the occasion ever arrose, but i honestly couldnt imagine any staff members treating me that badly(u know wot i mean?). my problem is i still cant find my 1st R&R :( i am still a Virgin

Exactly - I only ever had one serious R&R (PSP last week :D ) and I was in my work suit, extra smart, and I'm sure it intimidates THEM, rather than the other way round. Particularly if you keep very cool and extra polite.

Same here too, not in a suit though, I'm a fairly big guy, I always remain calm and polite when at the desk, I think thats what throws them.

I think on the whole they will treat women and men differently, I get a different kind of treatment when claiming R&Rs on meat etc than my GF does, as if they dont expect guys to complain about or spot the misprice on something like that.

One CS woman said I was very sharp spotting the difference in price per Kg on the Rib roasts, I made up some BS I about being a chef and that I work to a price per portion! :rotfl: She seemed to buy into it so I take it I must look like a chef!
    Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)

Just heard that Tesco's profits for the past 6 months were £1.06bn. Just thiink what they could have been if it wasn't for all those R&R's!!!
