I ordered my shopping from tesco.com this week, I normally order from Sainsburys, but I thought the Felix £1.49 for 12 pouches great value so ordered 4 plus my normal weekly stuff. My shopping has just been delivered and they have charged me £2.24 for each one, hence £8.96 instead of £5.96. Rang them up as I was fuming! They would only refund the £3 difference and wouldn't let me speak to a manager, said they don't have any!!

T&C are different on Tesco.com - the R&R policy does not apply. But you also need to be careful about expiry dates for offers on there as it does say that the price you pay is the price on delivery day - see here:

    http://www.tesco.com/superstore/bob.asp?

The offer isn't current anymore on Tesco.com. HTH :)

Edit: Can't get the link to work properly, but click on About The Price Guide on the left hand side.

    originally 16.7p per tablet (4.98 for 30)
    now 15.5p per tablet (6.98 for 30+15)

"50% free" should indicate a 33.3% decrease in price. (11p per tablet)
but these are about 10% decrease in price and about a 40% increase on the package price!

Thats just wrong, I hope Tesco really do read this thread as they may want to get on this matter before it gets pointed out by some of the consumer rights activists (R&Rers to you and me) that they have upset recently. They might do something like report them to trading standards and we wouldn't want that would we?

Can see the newspaper article now, "Consumer Rights activist banned from store but goes in anyway to prove Tesco are overcharging"
'They can't stop me says xxxxx, look at this, it says 50% free but they have actually put the price up of the box by a whopping 40%. I am no longer allowed to complain in the store as I am not supposed to go inside. I will have to take it straight to trading standards. Can you believe I was banned for pointing out pricing errors in the store to customer services and head office? They hav a policy of letting you keep the product if they overcharge you, turns out I was a bit too good at it and head office banned me as they said it was abuse to find too many! But the consumer needs their corner fighting so now I go straight to trading standards with any I find.'

LOL that was funny. Its just like something from Viz.

What would you people think about this?

There is a stereo (Panasonic) in my local store which has 999 extra points when you purchase.

If the points dont go on can I then claim an R&R or will I only get the points added?
We took on Mr T and we won:D

Shame it had to end, will have to get free stuff from comps now

You won't have been overcharged so no R+R. Although technically 999 points is £9.99, that is an incentive to buy, you haven't paid £9.99 too much. If you bought and didn't get the incentive (points in this case), Tesco would have to give you said incentive (points) but you won't get, or be entitled, to R+R.

Incidentally in case you didn't know Tesco will take those vouchers off your banana's if you like never mind fairy products just hand them over next time you go in store chances are the checkout operator will just rack the lot through in one go for you but that's another thread. sorry to go of topic folks, think I'll grab a ready meal :rotfl:

Very slim pickings at the moment, even the KP nuts were sorted out within 24 hours, stores are no longer advertising the consoles and GOTW. I expected a few expired mobile phone SELS - BUT NOT ONE !,might have to start paying for my shopping soon.

Well done Tesco, looks like the store managers have had their !!!!!! kicked and are dealing with the misprices.

    Hi

Just to say I purchased 2 of the above BOGOF (£3.47) this evening and was just about to drive home when I thought about a previous R & R thread on this site.

On checking my receipt I found I had been charged the full price for 2 packs so went back in to CS and got a full refund of £6.94, thanks to all you moneysavers.

    Regards

It seems as though Tesco are actually doing something proactive in a bid to stop overcharging customers !

I went in tonight and ALL of the FINEST ready meals were having their SELs adapted, so that the line "Save £1" had a black line through it.

On second thoughts, they could have already given away r&r on the products and were only alerted thus .... but maybe an email or phonecall got through to them about it .... anybody else see stores doing this tonight?
