Divide and Conquer - My last DFW diary

Posting this a bit later than I hoped as I have been cleaning the kitchen . OH's parents are due down tomorrow evening and I know that his mum will be critical.

Anyway, the film was great. Love and Other Drugs - I would recommend it. It wasn't just another rom-com. It had a lovely message in it and was quite moving too. Actually made me cry but only because it had so much in common with my own life (the main female character has an illness and the way she described feeling about it was very true).

I will post more tomorrow as need to get to bed as OH has to be at the train station by 6.50am. Really wish he would get his car sorted as this is driving me mad getting up so early every morning when I don't really have to!

Morning everyone

So, today will be busy as I am having to clean the flat for the arrival of OH's parents. Anyone would think they were royalty or something. Also slightly annoyed that I am the one doing everything even though they aren't my parents.



Never mind, it will be worth it if I can avoid them picking holes in my flat. Anyway, I think a list is in order so that I can get everything done.

2. [STRIKE]Take stuff down to the shed[/STRIKE]
3. [STRIKE]Hoover living room[/STRIKE]
4. [STRIKE]Hoover bedroom[/STRIKE]
5. [STRIKE]Hoover hallway[/STRIKE]
6. [STRIKE]Clean bathroom[/STRIKE]
7. [STRIKE]Mop bathroom floor[/STRIKE]
8. [STRIKE]Mop kitchen floor[/STRIKE]
9. [STRIKE]Change bedding[/STRIKE]

Think that is it but may have to add stuff later on. My plan is to do 10 questions and then cross a task off so that I am still working too.

I am also playing on Bingoport all day as I want to get my voucher stash back up for birthdays and next Christmas. Already waiting for £25 in Amazon vouchers which I ordered ages ago from survey sites.

Hate to be blunt(but ya know me!)but start as you mean to go on.
Make it very clear to your OH that this is a one off & in future division of labour will be required

Thanks Lou. I know that I have to make it clear but for this one time only I am doing it to avoid criticism from this mother. I am considering doing a rota for cleaning or assigning rooms to him.

So so sick of the snow, havent got rid of last lot yet & more forecast for Thur ~ gah.

It has taken me all this time to do 10 questions and take the stuff to the shed as received a lovely letter from apex saying that my Egg loan has been transferred to them and they have been trying to contact me but I seem to have moved (yeah, like a year ago) and I didn't inform Egg of this (I did, on several letters) and that they may have to get solicitors involved and send a debt collector to my house blah blah blah blah.

I have been making the payments to Egg that they agreed to and had no idea that they had transferred my debt to Apex. So I have spent ages composing an email to Apex informing them of my payment offer and saying that I won't communicate with them via telephone. Also submitted them a payment offer via their website and within seconds of doing that my other line rang so I take it that was them calling. Luckily I have a different broadband number which I give to my friends and family so I can ignore calls on the other number.

I really do feel for you with the snow - sending you big hugs.

I can't stand it. They are saying we are going to get more here soon. It was so cold last night, I'm surprised that it wasn't iced over here this morning.

Eek, running out of time now. I have done another 10 questions but then stopped for lunch (left over curry and wedges).

Think I am just going to have to crack on with the housework and then do some work later. They are due at 7pm and have to pick OH up from the train station before then. Need to wash my hair too.

Phew - everything done. That took ages. If anyone says anything bad about my flat then I will not be held responsible for my actions. It is prestine in here now.

Might get a half hour break now before picking up OH. Looking forward to a night sat on a bean bag and sleeping on an air mattress (NOT!!).
