Ok everyone, have decided I am going to be motivation personified tomorrow. I am going to get up at 8am (been a bit naughty with lie-ins recently) which means that I must get to sleep between midnight and 1am (was about 3am this morning :o).

No more procrastination - I am going to achieve loads tomorrow.

    Night night :)

    Morning everyone

Well I did get up at 8am and have so far:
    • Ordered a free photobook for my sister full of pictures of my niece - it's one of the say cheese ones from the weekly email. It took me ages to do because the site kept crashing. If anyone else is trying to order one, just keep refreshing it and it will work eventually. I have an order confirmation anyway so fingers crossed I get a nice free present there.
    • Ordered a Christmas card for my mum from the M&S website for 49p.
Just going to look through the email for anything else and will then get on with questions.

    Be back later.

Could have had a more productive day, however I had my flu jab earlier and came over really tired shortly afterwards so had to go for a sleep. Very strange as have never had that reaction after before. Still feel a bit 'dazed' now.

Never mind, will try to be productive when I get home (still at my mum's). I have however ordered a free Christmas card for my OH and got a free £5 voucher for Currys so will be using that to get something to go with my mum's DSi. Oh and did a survey to build up some more points.

  • Hi Emily,

Just came accross your "new" diary ... I love your divide and conquer idea! I'm sure you'll get there in no time.

I'm sure I saw another thread where someone was doing something similar but to pay off a mortgage ... reckon you must both have been drinking from the same spring :rotfl:

In fact, I love both the ideas so much - if you dont mind ... I think I will adopt yours aswell :p

    Good luck

    Hi everyone

Sorry I have been missing in action again for the past couple of weeks. Finally got my OH moved in. He still has some random stuff lying around the place which is annoying me a bit but I'll give him at least another week to put it away before I nag him about it ;).

The tennis was AMAZING!! Andy Murray is such a talented player - you just don't get how hard and fast he hits that ball until you see it live. We got to see him practising beforehand too which was cool. We were in a section of the crowd that obviously didn't want to clap and cheer too much. Didn't stop me though!! The problem I have now though is that I think any other tennis match that I see live is going to pale into insignificance against the wonderful Murray :D (unless it's Andy Roddick ;)).

Anyway, it's nearly December (hooray!!). My aims for this month are to get earning for January and to get Christmas sorted. Nearly there with Christmas. Just a couple more presents to get now.

With the earning thing, I want to earn at least £1,000 for January. I will faithfully come on here at the end of each day and declare what I have earned and keep a record of it in my signature.

I was also thinking of goals for 2011 (bit early I know but my OH asked me what they were the other day). So far I have:
    1. Clear at least 5 of my debts (I have 10 main debts).
    2. Get my teeth sorted out (nightmare, so scared of dentists but have found a private one that is supposed to be really good for nervous patients so I will have to go to him. I know it costs more but I need to get sorted out).
    3. Getting my OH to join a gym, start a diet and lose his belly! (sorry if that sounds shallow but it is making him unhappy so I want to help him lose the gut).
    4. Learn how to swim.
That's all I have right now. Will be thinking of some more during December though. I want ones that really matter to me.

Off to do my nails me thinks.

    I will be back tomorrow.

    Morning all

It's pretty bad snow-wise here today so I think I will be staying in my warm little flat all day. I have a mystery shop to do but will have to call them to say I can't do it. Not risking life and limb to do that. Hopefully they will let me do it next week. I hate snow - it's evil!!

Yesterday I earned £24. Not great but then again I was looking after my niece for most of the day as my mum has some Christmas waitressing jobs on so I step into the gap when she can't look after her. I have to do it again tomorrow (weather permitting) but my mum said she would give me some of the money my sister gives her as I am looking after her too. So I may get some more earnings there.

I also won £12 on the free Jackpot Joy game last night so that is not being added to my earnings for January but will help with replacing the money I spent on Christmas presents.

So my target is 10 questions an hour today to catch up on yesterday and some other bits and pieces in between.

    Have a good day everyone

    Hi Emily,

I have read your posts on and off this year, and this one has reminded me of a story I read in a magazine. Basically a woman set her heart on a £1m house she wanted to buy, and decided to do a million odd jobs for £1 each. These were things from making costumes for her friends childrens school plays, making a birthday cake, taking up trousers, hemming curtains, walking pets etc. Some of the things she was unable to do herself, so would find someone who could to quote for the odd job and get a commission on it! Most of the jobs ended up being worth more than £1 and she was on her way pretty quickly! Why don't you email all your friends and relatives and offer to do odd jobs - its very varied so wont get boring :) xx

    Excuse me whilst I scream......

    AAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

That feels better - I am screaming as I am so useless. I was full of good intentions for this month and have slacked off majorily.

Still, no point in kicking myself as I can't change the past. The good thing is that I still have 18 days and 7ish hours left of December.

So my new aim is to earn £300 each week:

    13th-19th December = £300
    20th-26th December = £300
    27th-31st December = £300

I will finally be getting some rent money from my OH from around 22nd January so that will really help me a lot.

Anyway, off to see a free film tonight (with Jake Gyllenhaal in it :D) so I have to get moving shortly but will be back later.

    Emily xx
