Hope your cough eases off Emily so you can get some quality snoozing in
I have saved no end on fuel since I started driving the MSE way, smooth accelerating, trying not to go above 2000rpm, taking my foot off the accelerator earlier to slow down (working on the principle I've already paid for that fuel I've just used and now I'm neutralising it by applying the brakes) etc etc - I now find myself a lot calmer when driving and secretly (don't want to risk becoming the victim of road rage) shaking my head at other drivers when they roar past me at 90 mph - what a waste of fuel!
-s-
I am terrible in my car, shouting at other drivers, calling them all the names under the sun!! I swear they should put a camera in my car and they'd have a really good reality show :rotfl:.
I have been trying to calm down recently and actually drove back from my OH's today at 60mph all the way (only on the motorway obviously). As I was doing it, I looked at all the other cars zooming past me and thought 'what is the point in rushing around like that'. It also make me laugh when I can see people getting frustrated behind me because they don't like overtaking.

Hooray hooray hooray!!! :j. I got about 10 hours sleep :T. I must have needed it. I woke up at around 5am, had a big coughing fit and then managed to go back to sleep again. Feel so much better now.
I now feel that I can get back to my challenge as I am not deprived of my sleep. I therefore want to do 10 things a day towards 10 of my 50 things so that I am making progress everyday.
I actually read about reclaiming credit card charges last night and know what I have to do. Unfortunately I will have to wait until I have a spare tenner as I need to write to ask for my charges and will have to get a postal order to send with it as I don't have a cheque book. I have 5 credit cards to claim back charges on so with a bit of luck, that could actually get more than the amount I am looking for.
So I will update later on today with the 10 things that I have worked towards.

Glad you had a better night last night.
Good luck with claiming back your charges, I managed one lot a couple of years ago, I should probably try some of the other cards.
Hope you had a good day!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Hi everyone
Back again before I crack on with some questions whilst watching the X Factor and then the film Jumper.
As for my progress, so far today I have:- Found 5p in an old coat pocket (it's a start
).
- Found another 4 DVDs to add to my stash for Music Magpie (up to £2.62 now with another 3 items to find before I can send it off).
- Added another £1 to my jar seeing as I had a no spend day.
- Applied for some £5 surveys on eMystery Shopper.
- Found 2 items to start off my carboot stock.
I also thought that if I could get together around 10 items a week for the carboot, then come May I will have enough stock to do 2-3 carboots or maybe more.
Will be back later when I have done my other 5 things today.

Morning all
Spoke too soon yesterday as had another bad night. Didn't get to sleep until gone 3am so only got around 5 hours. Never mind. One of the good things about self employment is that I am working in bed at the moment so I don't have to face the world until lunchtime.
I have made a good start on my 10 things today (didn't manage to do anything else yesterday as was busy working):- Withdrawn £15 from Jackpotjoy :j.
Going to get on with my work so will be back later.

Morning
Sorry I haven't been around for a couple of days. My cough has now progressed to one that makes me want to throw up. That is the worst kind of cough. It is keeping me awake at night again. I'm going to stop buying cough mixture as it does nothing.
Obviously not done much for my challenge. I also think the next week will be filled with catching up on my work as I have missed a couple of days.
I received the £15 from Jackpot Joy today and have added that to my usual payment so my sofa debt should be less than £350 on the next statement. I got the details from my mum's card (which has the sofa on it) and can now make payments online. My aim is to be able to clear it and when the statement comes through, my mum will be pleasantly surprised (in November hopefully).
My aim is for 50 questions before I can leave to go round my mum's.

50 questions done this morning and I am now at my mum's. Have had my 'lunch break' so I need to do another 50 questions before I go home around 6pm.
My neighbour downstairs has a little kitten that she is trying to rehome. He is adorable and I would love to have him but we aren't allowed pets in our flats (she got him for her granddaughter who was then given another kitten so she needs to rehome him ASAP). He is just so tiny and cute. I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't........
