Hope your cough's better soon- coughs and colds are spreading like wildfire where I work!0

I love this idea of splitting the debt down, mine is of a similar level, so I shall follow this thread with interest to see if I can pinch some of your ideas.
Good luck with it! I'll have a think and see if I can add anything."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Ok, I have faced the fact that I am not going to be able to think of 100 ideas to make money. So I have 50 ideas and will make £750 at each of them which will pay off my debts
.
I think a time frame of 2-3 years is realistic and achievable.

So my first day, and I have achieved:
- Found 3 DVDs worth £1.20 on Music Magpie
- Listed 2 books on Green Metropolis
- Requested some free samples which I plan on collecting 20-30 and then listing on eBay
- Got to 5k worth of points on Bingoport
- Put £1 in my newly created 'pound jar'
- Got £2.70 on Jackpot Joy (free game)
- Got a small mystery shop worth £1.50
. One of the free samples I requested was for the new Iris perfume and I found out that they are giving away a free 100ml bottle to people called Iris that visit their store. I plan on dragging my mum down there (obviously her name is Iris) and if she doesn't like it, I am sure she will give me the bottle so I may have a freebie to sell soon
.
I hope I get some more sleep tonight.

Morning everyone
At least I think it is morning. The night and day have mixed into one.
I didn't get anything done on my challenge yesterday and probably won't today due to sleep deprivation. I'm so so so tired I could cry.
I have been trying to get some sleep since 10pm last night and finally gave up at 4am. I think I may have snatched 20 mins here or there but can't be sure. It's worse when my OH is here as I feel like I am keeping him awake too (I have one powerful cough) so it's not as easy to just sleep anyway despite the coughing.
Any insomniacs out there, I have the upmost respect for what you have to go through. I am rambling now so one final thing on the matter:
I miss my sleep.

Finally got about 2 hours sleep at 6am. When I went back to bed, OH woke up long enough to ask me where I had been. I told him out clubbing. Not sure if he heard me or not as he was back asleep again within seconds.
The hours between 4am and 6am weren't wasted though. I played on Bingoport and entered competitions for a while.
Now OH is still in bed and I have surrendered to the fact that I won't be getting any more sleep just yet.

Well, seeing as I have only had 2-3 hours sleep, today wasn't too bad.
I worked out that I have £27.33 to last me 10 days. I think £2.73 a day is completely doable. I have 40 miles in the tank so I'm going to eek that out for as long as I can (Weds tops I reckon) and then put £10 in the tank which should last the rest of the 10 days.
I am also thinking £10 on food at some point (again, might try to wait until Weds) and then the other £7 in case I need more petrol.
I think I need to go back to the MSE school of moneysaving. I checked my tyre pressures today and they were 10psi down . I have my own pump thing too so I have no excuse. Going to make sure that I check them every week now. No wonder my petrol was disappearing so fast.
Also, I can't believe that I don't belong to a library. I am going to join next week as I am on my last book so will need to get some more soon.
So I think tonight I am going to spend on MSE lessons (and take notes!!) whilst watching Dreamgirls on E4.
Emily xx
(BTW, not been coughing as much during today so fingers crossed for a better night's sleep!!).0 -

Hope your cough eases off Emily so you can get some quality snoozing in
I have saved no end on fuel since I started driving the MSE way, smooth accelerating, trying not to go above 2000rpm, taking my foot off the accelerator earlier to slow down (working on the principle I've already paid for that fuel I've just used and now I'm neutralising it by applying the brakes) etc etc - I now find myself a lot calmer when driving and secretly (don't want to risk becoming the victim of road rage) shaking my head at other drivers when they roar past me at 90 mph - what a waste of fuel!
