Morning
Another bad night for me. My contact lenses are really bugging me now too. I need some new ones and ordered them a week ago but they still haven't arrived. Fingers crossed they do today as I can't cope with these for much longer.
I did a £3 survey on Pinecone yesterday so when that comes through to Paypal, I will transfer it to my card and then pay it off one of my debts (not the sofa as it's on a card and not in the bank).
I also managed to do my target on the questions but am a bit behind today now so I am aiming on earning £10 on there before I leave for my mum's today.

Hi, Just wanted to say I really enjoy reading your diary with all the great ideas for debt busting. I hope the cough eases soon - My Daughter had a bad cough about 3 weeks ago, she is asthmatic and they seem to linger causing a chest infection. I read somewhere about pineapple juice helping to break down the cough so thought it would do no harm to try - I don't know if it is coincidence but it worked and someone on the old stylers board with lung problems has also just tried it with great success.
Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks for that. Anything is worth a try so I will head down to the shop later to pick some up.

Just spent ages responding to a letter from Equidebt about one of my debts. Thought I better do it straight away or I will forget. They just wanted me to up my payment which I can't do just yet so have responded saying tough basically and sent my income & expenditure. Means that I haven't had time to do any questions.
Good thing is that my contacts came :j.

Still battling through the questions for today. Going to have to do a lot tonight to catch up.
In other news, I found 2p in my mum's car park and I am just 10p off getting £10 from Panel base.
Off to work again, just taking a quick break.

Thanks, that is one of my plans for getting my stock for the carboots. I always look out for when the person says 'carboot lot' or if not then I mention that I plan on selling the items when I email and ask if that is ok.
Most of the time people just want their items out of their way so don't care what you do with them.

Morning
Got a bit more sleep last night, although I was awake at 6.30am. I went to Tesco last night and asked the pharmacist to recommend a cough mixture. It is disgusting and looks, probably tastes too, like varnish. So don't know if it was that which helped last night or the glass of pineapple juice I drank before bed.
OH is currently snoring away still. I think my coughing so early this morning interrupted his beauty sleep. I am getting rid of him before lunch as he has a stag-do to go to. So my day will be filled with...umm....questions!! Aiming to do 200 today, I have already done 20 but will get cracking when he has gone.
I did a few little things towards my challenge yesterday:- Found 2p in my mum's car park
- Completed a couple of surveys
- Got an £8 MS for October
- Received one of my free samples through the post
Be back later.

Finally got rid of OH (mean that in a nice way as didn't want him to be late). The stag do that he is going to is for a wedding that we are attending on 1st Oct. Before he left, he told me to book in to get my hair and make-up done for the wedding.
I know this is kind of him, but I really don't see the point in wasting money on getting myself done up for a wedding that isn't even my own. I looked into the cost and you are looking at £40-£50.
My plan is to do it all myself. I don't think I am that bad at applying my make-up and I'm sure I can do something with my hair. However, I don't plan on telling him this and seeing if he notices. I will tell him I have booked into a salon round my way.
I have quite a bit of different make-up, but am lacking an eyeliner and a good foundation. Does anyone have any tips on good, cheap ones to buy? I would need one that has a lot of coverage (although I do have a really good concealor) and my skin is really fair and gets very dry.
Not sure how I am going to get my hair looking good. It is long and very thick so I find it hard to get anything to stay in it. Getting it to go wavy would be nice. Will have a think about it.
I also need a dark blue nail varnish to match my dress so I can paint my toe nails. Will do a french manicure on my finger nails.
I can probably get the nail varnish and an eyeliner from Boots with my points and don't want to spend anymore than a tenner on a foundation.

(by the way, if I managed to fool OH, I would come clean and wouldn't take his money).0 -
Morning
Had a great night's sleep. That [STRIKE]varnish[/STRIKE] cough mixture is good stuff.
I also got my 200 questions done yesterday. Going to try for the same today.
I had a good idea about the make-up thing. I'm going to go to Boots or Debenhams on the morning of the wedding and say to one of the beauty counters that I don't know which foundation would suit me and I want to put one on my Christmas list. Even if I just get my foundation done, I can do the rest myself and I will then find a good one for me that I can ask someone to buy me for Christmas.
Have a good day everyone.

(Emily sneaks back into DFW land)
Hi everyone
Didn't realise it had been so long since I last posted on here. Not really sure why I stayed away so long, but the thing I do know is that I need to climb back on the DFW wagon again.
Been a bit naughty over the past few weeks and have fallen behind on some bills. Completely my own fault and I have spent the past couple of days ringing around to make payment arrangements with them all. It never got too serious, but would have done if I didn't sort it pronto. I have now written down all of my outgoings, the date they come out and how they are paid so that I don't have any excuse to get in a muddle again.
As for the debts, they haven't come down (except for the payments I have agreed with them) and I don't think I will resume my challenge until I have my bills up to date, Christmas is over and my OH has moved in.
He moves in soon (couple of weeks), but I owe him some money so he isn't paying his first month's rent so I have to wait until January before I can half my outgoings.
I have started with Christmas presents, but am trying desperately to get some more Amazon vouchers in time to get a few more freebie gifts. Going to enter some comps too and see if they pay off. Even just getting one person's present for free will help.
Anyway, I still want to continue with my challenge but will start it again in January. Will keep posting on here until then to get back on the straight and narrow.
I nearly forgot, I did do one DFW thing recently - joined a library!! First book on loan - The Devil Wears Prada which needs to be back on Monday next week so need to get a move on with finishing it.
Enough waffle for now. Night all.
