I'd happily put mine on now but half my radiators are off the walls at the moment so not a lot of point really.:DHerman - MP for all!

Yes but only to test the new boiler, within half an hour we were sweating so it's gone off and will be put on again when the new baby comes in November and not before (and even then reluctantly).:staradmin0

Technically its on all year round, however like Penny Watcher its on a 7 day multi setting thermostat so will only actually fire up if the day time temperature drops below 18C (17 first thing) or 14C over night. It'll probably fire off for the odd half hour if temperatures drop between now and December but mostly it won't come on. House is cavity wall and loft insulated although the double glazing is a bit draughty in places - tends to keep warm in winter and relatively cool in summer. Kids have noticed its been cooler in the morning but giving them warm milk on their cereal seems to have staved that off (course it would help if the younger one hadn't decided to come down for breakfast in his birthday suit this morning!)Adventure before Dementia!0

Mine has been on and off again a few times since the middle of Aug (not for long though, just to take the chill off) it's on atm because there is a shocking cold wind blowing about outside

absolutely not, I did just shut the back door because I was beginning to feel a bit of a breeze but I could equally have put my cardi on, windows still open therefore no need for heating.0

No, it's not cold enough yet for us to put it on, we're fine with jumpers on at the mo. When it gets to the point where it's still cold even with warm jumpers on, or very cold in the mornings, then it'll go on.
Didn't have it on until part way through November last year, although that was mostly because our boiler had broken and had to be replaced.0
