    I have managed to get three phones on the ntl contract all from the same address, when i rang up last week to go on to the contract they never mentioned anything about a free phone they just sent the sim, it is only with reading this thread that i again rang and asked for my free phone and asked why i was not informed that i was entitled to one last week. I was told by CS that they are not supposed to tell you over the phone they will only send them to you if requested.

    I have again rang today to put my sons on the same contract and set two more up, so i now have 3 from the same address, also aked when the offer was on for and how long and she said for good they have teamed up with NTL and the offer is on forever she said

    So if anyone did want more than 2 contracts per household as should be stated, leave it for a few days and then try again

  • I just got thus deal too, loads of hassle actually, too long to post, but, a caution.
    If you plan to use this abroad regularly, or in fact at all. You have to pay 150pound up front for them to switch on international roaming!!!

    Furious to discover this, especially after checking before agreeing to the deal, I was originally told that i could use abroad but not inclusive of the 10 pounds (obviously).

    But when going over some errors they had made today, this came to light, anyhow, after much discussion, CS have enabled roaming without the payment, but it was a battle.

    Thing is I would have paid the 150, but I asked if I decided the coverage was no good, or wanted to cancel for any reason after 2 months or so (as you are not tied to a contract) would any unspent money be refunded.

    The answer was no, the 150 buys airtime and airtime is not refundable!
    So.. be careful of this.

    My phone is FINALLY back on again!!!!!!!!


    I've had no service for 5 whole days, and this morning it's just come back on.

    Not all back to normal yet tho.......cant access my voicemail yet.



    Oh yes, update from Thursday. You may recall that on wednesday they said 48 hours. Well on thursday, they emailed me to say 24 hours, and someone left a message to say she would call back within 24 hours to update me. She didnt even leave her name. I'm still waiting for the call. Bet I get loadsa calls today, expecting to find me happy and grateful!

    Remaining texts in bundle: 297
    Your current bundle: Virgin 10 with 300+300
    Your refresh date: 19/11/2006
    Your credit limit: £100.00

    I dont understand what i've spent the £5.40 on?
    will this be charged on top of the £10 by direct debit?
    and what does the credit limit mean?

    any help is appreciated

    The bill is normally fully itemised and you should have a breakdown of the £5.40p. Is it a part months line rental?

    The credit limit is explained in their faq.I quote

    "How does my credit limit work?

    When you Pay Monthly, or Pay As You Go by Direct Debit, we'll set a credit limit on your account. You'll see this on your bill. We'll do our best to contact you when you're near your limit, when you reach it and if you exceed it.

    And if you do go over the limit our team may suspend your account temporarily, until you get back on your feet again. However, it's not a good idea to rely on your credit limit, whether you're at home or abroad. That's because calls made abroad can take us a little longer to process - they come from our network partners."

    What do you mean by "Is it a part months line rental?" I pay £10 a month by direct debit (does that answer it)

    Am I correct in thinking this offer ends in a couple of months? What happens them? Can Virgin put the monthly cost up?

    The "Here's how much you've spent" is very misleading.
    If you go to view your bill, you might find out that you have £5 credit on your account that you can use up. I'm guessing you might have spent 40p - maybe on WAP?

    I have £5.00 on mines and I haven't used it on anything. In my bill it says I got £5 in credit.
