I believe they do not issue tickets.......the booking reference number is all they need, its called an e-ticket, basically any old bit of paper with the booking ref no on it.
Thats how the cross channel ferries work these days as well.
edited...........ah I see you are talking about train or Nat Ex tickets not DFDS, so you are right!0 -

How did you book your train tickets so far in advance I can't seem to was going to fly by easy jet got a cheap price but then thought if the flight was cancelled I would miss the cruise and didn't want to risk it?0

Hmmm.....a 50Kg limit on weight, so we could take lots of food so we dont need to buy any?
Well, I thought this and then had a word with someone else about it, don't Customs stop you from taking food abroad with you? So they'd stop your suitcase full of food getting through?
And does anybody have any info about the cabins, what's in them etc??
And are we expected to spend the night somewhere in Burgen or is the 'overnight onboard' actually in a cabin on the ship???0 -
The overnight on board is a cabin on the ship.
You will be OK with taking food as long as it's not obvious. You couldnt take a cool box full of food with you as they would know but you could try to conceal food in your suitcase. Even then you would have to hope they don't search it.
The ship will be like one of those P&O ferries where there is a wide range of food and drink on offer. You won't be expected to eat in the poshest restaurant. According to the website theres a snack bar.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040 -

Hiya,
I haven't booked them yet but I think I could have done, my travel dates are 25th to 28th November.
I searched GNER and Nationalrail.co.uk for train info and prices.
Hope this helps

Yes,you can book up to 3 months ahead. We looked at flights as an afterthought,Cheapest Easyjet flights Stansted-Newcastle return for 2 came to £57,but then you have to get to the airport, then pay carparking.
Plus the last flight of the day leaves at 1945,which wouldnt be enough time with the ship docking at 1900.
So cheap train fares and a £15 or £26 travelodge room seem best, unless you can endure hours on a coach(I'm expressing this from a Norfolk/Suffolk viewpoint, but the same would apply from other areas methinks.)0 -

Hiya,
The prebooked meal prices are listed on the DFDS website
Check out the link -> http://www.dfds.co.uk/DSW/EN/Singlepage/Meals
Hope this helps.
Cheers
