A far better indication of where there may be pedestrians is the 30mph speed limit signs, houses and footpaths. This does not mean that drivers have to drive at 15mph everywhere, because the highway code states that doing so would be "Failure to make due progress".
If someone steps into the road from behind a parked vehicle, then the car driver does not stand a chance of reacting, let alone stopping.

My final paragraph states my position on this, nowhere does it say 15mph, and it does emphasise that appropriate caution needed to be taken by the clio driver, had she done those few easy things to do, I expect this guy would still be alive today.

So you block me but still respond to the posts I make!? That's kinda stealing your thunder after saying that you didn't want to "lissen" ( I've used your spelling here :D ) to my drivel any more! :rotfl:

It's you that can't spell "listen", check what you have posted, if your short term memory is not that far impaired.

I block replying to mine, I am still free to reply to your claptrap, enjoy,http://www.msnemotions.org/cr/cr.php
Maybe it would be better if you understood what listen means? Then again, go your way.
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Labelling a car a killing machine is daft. Virtually everything has the potential to kill.shaking.gif

As far As I can see, from the facts presented here, the only person that was at fault was the deceased. Harsh as it may seem, they died as a result of their own stupidity.

But nothing so easilly and so lacksidaisically(sp) as a motor car.

A bullet will kill one person, a car? 1? 3? up to 6 in reality.

Anyone that really feels a need to argue with that aint quite screwed together properly.

Pedestrians don't need a licence. We have to treat them as idiots,

According to our government, the car couldn't possibly have done that much damage if it had been travelling within the speed limit......

That is a very big and very heavy cricket ball, bowled by a very slow bowler.
The cricket ball weighs five and a half ounces, and slow spin bowlers, and juveniles bowl at 40mph, whereas professional fast bowlers bowl at nearly 100mph.

It pays to get your facts right, before inserting your foot into your mouth.;)

Or the ball in your gob??

When I was at school, during lunch some unfortunate 1st former happened to cop a cricket ball, not from a bowl but from a kid throwing back to an informal lunchtime game. Hit him on the side of the head. Died 2 days later. No, I didn't witness it, but 40 odd years later I still remember. Get your facts right:mad::mad::mad:

Don't try to lecture me about bowler speed or tennis players speed ,which are similarly even. A car can do 155mph, but it can kill at 10mph. Think on chap

Let us all give up using cars then, or failing that, drive at 5mph, whilst a man with a red flag walks in front of us.
It is very rare for someone being killed at cricket, more people probably die each year from putting their trousers on.

No no no no, a car is a deadly weapon, that equates to why you have to have a licence for it? Understand or not..

And more folks die while smoking a pipe than don't, when the airbag goes orffffffffff

I agree with this especially when the accident involve adult. Unfortunately, here in the UK there are still too many youngster did not aware about this. Failure of education system
