Anyone used Ross Coates for conveyancing?

  • This is the worst legal firm in the UK bar none!

I have bought and sold many properties over the years and Ross Coates is the worst I have ever dealt with by a massive margin. I wish I had seen the site before I signed up.

Firstly, these are not solicitors. There is one in the whole firm. Everyone else is completely incompetent. I was on the brink of losing my sale which should have taken a few weeks, but ended taking up over 6 months. It only went through because I was about to take legal action (AGAINST MY OWN SOLICITOR!)

Like others I really should have taken these folks to the law society, but so much of my time was waisted on this transaction that I simply needed to get on with my life. Don't make the same mistake that I and so many others did. Stay well away.
  • I recently completed on my sale and purchase with Anup at Ross Coates/Harmony Law. I found them to be extremely polite and professional and Anup was always willing to take my calls and respond quickly to any queries I raised.
Anup kept me fully informed of any developments on both sale and purchase and went above and beyond with his time/commitment he put in on both transactions.

Moving house is certainly very stressful but Anup and his secretary Amy certainly helped in trying to make things go as smoothly as possible.

The solicitor on the other side (buying my property) was nothing but awkward. She was very slow in responding to Anups correspondence and failed to speak with her own clients in a timely manner. So the sale was delayed but at no fault of harmony law.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Anup and would certainly use him again in any future transactions. I can't thank them enough for getting me into my new home. All the upheaval that other side caused was worth it in end.

I give them 10 out of 10 for value for money and excellent service.
  • I went with Ross Coates on a recommendation and had paid a large deposit before I found this blog which, unsurprisingly, filled me with fear but I had absolutely nothing to worry about. Anup and Aimee managed the sale of my house in central London brilliantly. They were at the end of the phone whenever I needed them and more than willing to answer, with unrelenting enthusiasm, all my mundane questions. I have no complaints whatsoever.

If in doubt simply ask for Anup and Aimee. I'm not the first in this stream to endorse them.

Welcome all new one post wonders. Given the love, I am surprised Chesney Hawkes hasn't registered to give Anup and Aimee a recommendation.

One of our clients has chosen to use this firm.

The details provided are for an address in Ipswich. I attempted to call the number given to get an email address and the automated system messed me about for fifteen minutes circling me back to where I came from each time.

In the end, I used the email address for the solicitor Nationwide's system provided for the HTB Property Information Form.

I will gladly feedback on Ross Coates/Harmony Law Ipswich and suggest my client does the same.

  • Have just completed the sale of our flat in December 2015, after a rather drawn out and difficult sale, due to our buyer`s difficulties, and by no means the fault of our own solicitor, Mr Anup Chakravorty, who I have to add was extremely efficient, patient and most helpful throughout, and we had an excellent and very professional service from both Anup and his secretary Aimee, who always kept us up to date with proceedings. If ever we needed to speak to them and they were busy they always rang back within hours. Everything was always explained to us in a way that we could relate to, and understand from start to finish. They were extremely efficient, extremely courteous and always a pleasure to deal with.
    Highly recommended.
  • Would like to say a very big thank you to the Ross Coates/Remersh Kaur team from Harmony Law for the highly professional and considerate way they have conducted my conveyancing transaction. From start to finish was stress free and as a first time buyer the whole procedure was explained and made that much more bearable because they were accessible at all times and if not they returned calls and emails promptly. It was a leasehold purchase and the seller was also purchasing but they still managed to complete within 7 weeks of receiving contract papers. If anything, the most stressful part was waiting for my mortgage offer. From my experience it was actually the seller's solicitor that needed chasing up, especially on completion day, as they had received my purchase money by mid-morning but Harmony Law were having to chase them still at gone 3.00pm to release keys. Thank you Harmony Law, will definitely use your services again.
  • I bought my apartment in 2010 and contracted Rosscoates to handle the conveyancing. Lisa Warren was wonderful then and so when I made the decision to sell my flat Rosscoates/Harmony Law was my first choice. I have absolutely no reservations that I made the right choice. Anup Chakravorty and Aimee Hearn were wonderful throughout the entire process.
This was my first time selling a property, and being an innate worrier, Anup suffered through MANY anxiety ridden phone-calls. His patience, understanding and cheerful personality made the whole process a dream. He is a gentleman and a consummate professional.
I would recommend Rosscoates/Harmony Law to anyone without a moments hesitation. :T
  • We used Harmony Conveyancing for the sale of two UK properties. Quotations received at the outset were very competitive and the subsequent service received was second to none. Therefore overall value for money was exceptional.

Both Anup Chakravorty and Aimee Hearn were superb throughout. Both transactions were concluded within 28 days (from issuance of pre-contract papers to simultaneous exchange/completion) without issue.

Anup was always available by phone/email and kept us fully informed throughout the transactions. As we are based overseas most correspondence was exchanged electronically via email. This resulted in a very smooth and efficient transaction that did not require us to visit the solicitors or utilise the postal system (with the exception of the final contract and transfer documents). Anup is full of energy, technically very strong and his pro-active approach resulted in two very quick conveyancing transactions.

We will certainly be using the services of Harmony Conveyancing again and highly recommend them to any potential property buyers / sellers.
  • I have used this firm for my house sale and purchase andthey are first class. Their service was professional, friendly and the legal advice I received was second to none. Anup Chakravorty and Aimee Hearn dealt with my case and although the sale went through without a hitch the purchase was another matter. Through no fault of the solicitors three hoise purchases fell through. Legal Iissues arose which took a lot of unravelling and through it all Anup led me through the minefield and never let me put a foot wrong. It was a long process to get the right property and I have now successfully completed. Anup and Aimee are the ultimate professionals and the best legal team I have ever come across. Without hesitstion I recommend them to you and anyone out there who needs a solicitor whose primary priority is your best interests. They work tirelessly to achieve the best result and I soon learned I could trust them completely. Because of them I found my happy home. Thank you Anup and Aimee.
