Problem with tethering is going to be your data plan and its cap .
1GB /3GB month looks the norm for data allowances .

I'm looking at getting the Galaxy, but i'm waiting for the Desire HD to come out and bring the prices down hopefully.

I can't see the Galaxy on the Mobiles.co.uk website for £25/month with unlimited net. The deal i see is £25/month with 600mins and unlimited texts, with 8 months 1/2 price on TMobile Text600, not Web600. Are you sure it has unlimited net?

Strange; I have a lot of experience with both companies and until the summer the vast majority of feedback on Buymobilephones was actually good. The opposite may be said of mobiles.co.uk and that has been the case for more than year - and they're not improving!

After having a delayed delivery I contacted them via email and got a prompt response, a tracking number, and its on the van today :)

    So far so good.

    phone turned up.

Using it for the internet at home is ridiculously simple,

turn on "wireless AP" in settings menu, and it gives you a wireless access key. Search for wireless access point on computer and bingo, online with no broadband/landline!

Since i'm only going to be browsing at home in a similar pattern that i would be on the phone anyway, i'm sure the "unlimited" will cover me?

As i recall tmobile can't see whether my data is used via phone or wireless AP.

What's the download speed like? When I first got mine it was capped to 3G speeds which was painfully slow at times due to the poor coverage where I live. Now I got them to put me on web'n'walkplus it is loads better.

    i'll run a speedtest tonight! :D
  • this looks to be the best deal of the moment on this phone that I've found (with my limited research). Nice :)

I'll consider this, but what's this about orange and t-mobile merging?

it means if you have no tmob reception you can use orange network!

orange deals are no where as good as this or even close. So its a good time to get it
