  • Pretty good. T-Mobile coverage isn't the best all round though.

From October 4th you will be able to opt in to roaming between Orange and T-Mobile (same company now - Everything Everywhere) and it will therefore be possible to lock on to the strongest signal. Should help to even out some of the gaps in coverage.

arn't they part of car phone warehouse?

i found some bad reviews - but then doesn't every mobile company have these!

I'm planning on using the Samsung for my home internet access too, that will save me £20 a month landline + broadband.

It support wireless tethering so as I understand it if the phone is in range of my router I can get online in the unlimited net allowance ( i think fair use is 3-4gb)
  • Then how would it save on your broadband, since the router only works if you still subscribe?!

And yes, most companies have some bad feedback - but let's hope you aren't one of the innumerable people who rush into bed with a cpw company only to realise you should have given weight to the volumes of bad feedback on this one!

I shouldn't have said router, i understand I can use my wireless pci card to pick up my Samsung as a wireless access point and go on the net that way?

i used buymobilephones.net last year who were slow with cashback but came through in the end and they had verrrrry nad feedback.
  • Isn't that "tethering"? I would check your T&Cs to ensure this is allowed before trying it.

Strange; I have a lot of experience with both companies and until the summer the vast majority of feedback on Buymobilephones was actually good. The opposite may be said of mobiles.co.uk and that has been the case for more than year - and they're not improving!
  • The Samsung Galaxy S is able to act as a mobile access point, broadcasting out a connection just like a wireless modem/router, allowing you to connect as many wireless machines as you want to the net at the same time.
