Hassling For Feedback

I bought something recently on ebay and so far the seller has sent me 2 messages over a space of 3 days asking me to leave feedback.

I will leave feedback in my own time when I can be bothered, what's with the hassling?

  • Are you sure they are from the seller and not automatically sent by eBay?
Often sellers complain about eBay sending too many messages that just annoy people.
  • No they are definately from the seller.

  • If the seller was hassling me, I'd deliberately not leave any. Or at very least make them wait for it.

  • Perhaps it's a situation where PayPal withhold the funds until feedback is left, maybe the seller can't afford to wait the 21 days for them to be released.

It's only an item of clothing worth £10 so doubtful.
I got another message today from them asking for feedback.
Maybe I will wait for them to give me feedback first.

  • As said above prob because he wants his money. Fair enough if he's sent the item and it's right.

Withholding payment is just ....well I'll say poor form but I mean a lot worse!
  • Why would paypal be withholding their payment? If they were wouldn't the seller just tell me? I thought paypal only withheld payments on high risk items, not an item of used ladies clothing.

  • He's probably got his paypal funds held until you give him feedback. It's their new(ish) policy on certain people/items.
  • Every sale i've made recently I've had to wait until I've been left feedback before the payment being released to me.
