Hi Jesthar,
My answer is a 'don't know' because I've never tried it but I'm sure I've seen others post about using ready made sauces in their slow cookers and I don't think they had any problems. If you make your bolognese in your usual way but just replace the tomatoes with the dolmio sauce I think it'll be fine.

Edit. Just found this thread that may help: Sauce & Slow cooker0 -
Yes, you can use sauces in the slow cooker. I use the Loyd Grosman tomato & basil one with beef and mushrooms/onions/celery and it's lovely.0

I have some stewing steak, was going to do in slow cooker with onions parsnips & carrots.
Unfortunately I have been out longer than anticipated - I don't fancy eating at 10pm but don't want the veg to be all hard either. What do you suggest? This is what I think my options are:
1. Parboil veg before adding to slow cooker
2. Zap veg in a bowl of water in microwave first (is this the same as parboiling?)
3. Stick it in, put on high and hope for the best!
4. Do it in a casserole dish in the oven instead.
Am leaning towards option 4 as I want a rest now and DF can help me chop veg etc when he gets home then... but am worried the meat will be horrible. It is tescos stewing steak. Any ideas?I don't believe and I never did that two wrongs make a right0 -
I'm currently cooking potato and leek soup on low in the slow cooker, it went on at 3.30pm but the recipe says 8-10 hours which means it will be ready at 11.30pm. Will it be okay to turn it up to high to speed up the cooking, so I can go to bed at 10pm?
TIA
I've found another recipe on the net which says low 8-10 hours or high 4-5 hours so have solved this one now...0 -

do chinese chicken and mushrooms. roll meat in seasoned plain flour and brown in a saucepan. like wise with the mushrooms and onion. add chicken stock and bring to the boil. add some soy sauce and lots of chinese type seasoning. at this point you will need to taste and see what else you can add. (used to be able to get something called chinese taste powder by sharwoods, but cant get it any more). into the slow cooker on low for a while, maybe four or five hours??. sorry i dont do timings!! you will know when its done. tastes wonderful xx all quantities are as you would like them. i always did loads of onions and mushrooms, probably as the same weight as the meat.0
