I was looking at prices of draft excluder tape and radiator foil and saw that Wilkinson had some good prices for those who don't want to make a trip to a big box diy store or pay postage (actually some of the things cost less than Ebay).

I wonder if the condensation drip-strip on that link is any good? It's a constant round for me each winter, wiping condensation off the windows before it runs onto the windowsills!

I went in primarnie today, and picked up some fleecy PJ's for myself and DD. I won't wear mine to bed-can only bear cotton in bed-but will wear them around the house after bathing etc. I also picked up a selection of their 2 for a £1 gloves-got all the same colurs for my 2 boys so if they lose one I can match them up from the pile! I bought a set for myself that have one fingerless pair-I will wear around the house-and one for out and about. I have gloves already but like to have a few pairs for when they get wet.

I also picked up some of their microfibre lined tights for £3-they feel amazing! I have no idea how warm they will actually be in the winter but they feel so cozy. A little on the small side-I wear 14-16 and the largest size they have-the large-only just fits me though.

It's brilliant sunshine today and quite hot-I am wearing a short denim skirt, short sleeved top and sandals-buying winter stuff lol!!!!!!!
Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!

Veggieblob your recommendation is good enough for me and as soon as I get my refund from Amazon I will get that one (was your comment about cash back just general or does it specifically apply to this product??)
    .

Just a reminder that you can get cashback on Gizoo purchases - but I do go through Topcashback every time I use a site listed on there. :D

    HI
Asda have Branston beans 4 for £1 not as good as Mr T but then at least the beans were actually there- after all £2.55 for phantom beans isnt a good price is it ? Also has instant custard for 6p a packet - bought 4- with a tin of 27p peaches that could be quite a nice pud on a cold snowy day.

I did think about ordering the fleeces online but as usual with these things when I go to look for them I never flipping well find them - Im not useless on the computer but something kind of defeats me with this kind of searching!! (rolls own eyes)
Stash is going really well - really only need a small sack of potatoes and I'll be sorted if the snow comes - for at least a week. Think I currently have 18 tins of beans! Probably could do with another dozen loorolls only got 24 so far. Bean and looroll ratio doesnt seem quite right just yet.

Have made casing for draught excluder and have decided to fill it with bubble wrap becuase the old incontinent dog is getting worse. Actually I am getting worried about the smell - I keep scrubbing and spraying but Im paranoid and out of incense at the moment!!!

Well I got all the door mats washed and dried today. That is another thing off the list. It is getting smaller for anybody who thinks their list is huge, well mine was dire to begin with but over the weeks it has got better. All the outside stuff was done first and then I came inside and concentrated on anything that I could do on a cold or rainy day.

The compost was bought today and that is for putting the cordylines away to protect them over winter as it was so harsh last year I lost every single one.

    The list is

    Re-silicone the shower
Paint gable ends (1 day job)
Paint the drain pipes (half a morning job)
Clean and polish both cars (half a day job)
    Clean the kitchen rug
Deep clean the house through (5 hour job)
    Cover the outside tap
    Oil gates, locks and hinges
    Quick tidy in the garage
Small amount of sewing to be done
    Clean windows (October)

When you looked at my orignal list it was mammoth now it's small and do-able. I self-imposed a timeline of the first week of October to get all of my things done. If there is anything that needs doing after that I can deal with it as and when.

The list does come down - just stick with it, have faith and try and do at least a job a day - two if you can - and you will have it done in no time. You - like me - can take your rest when winter comes calling with a nice cup of tea, warm and snug knowing that you don't have to do out, everything is in order and in the right place and be able to see the worst of it through without panic and crisis!

Tugrin, pets at home do a fantastic spray that gets rid of pet whiffs. The smell is caused by bacteria, which this spray eradicates. They do wipes as well, but one spray lasts me about 8months and I seem to remember it cost me about £2.65. It's different to febreeze etc as it actually eradicates bacteria, smells really fresh. My lovely old Birman cat became very incontinent at the end (I had to have him put to sleep due to kidney failure end of July) and I would have gone crazy without this spray. I use it inside the litter tray under the liner for my other cat, who sometimes rips the liner even when I line with paper, and I also use it inside bins-I wouldn't be without it. They do online sales if you don't have one close.
Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!

Tugrin a good trick for getting rid of doggy incontinence smells is the cheapest vodka that you can find, after cleaning up the carpet rug or wherever the affected area is and letting it dry pour on neat vodka. (You can be quite liberal with it) and then allow it to dry on its own. No matter how much you use it will still dry. I`ve had many incontinent oldies over the years as we tend to take the older ones from rescues that get overlooked (most people seem to want puppies) i always feel sorry for the oldies - many whose owners have passed away and just cannot understand why they are there. I`ve used the vodka for years and after a couple of days the spirit smell has evaporated and you are left with no odours whatsoever.

Pets at home also do a good odour remover but i can`t remember what its called for the life of me, it has enzymes in which act fast and works the same way, you saturate the spot with it and allow to dry but its really expensive compared with the voddie.

Even when i know an area is clean i`m obsessed with it lol.

ETA SuziQ you beat me to it with the PAH liquid, not sure if its the same one or not as the one i`ve used in the past is in a bottle to pour it out of not a spray and its quite a bit more expensive. They may have changed the product since i last used it which is admittedly a long time ago.
Planning on starting the GC again soon :p
